67 A body dash panel support bracket/ground strap.

The hole that far away end fits into is on the topside of the heavy-duty steel brace that the brake pedal attaches to. The hole is actually oval shaped.

For mass production it would be faster/cheaper to paint black and then block off the openings for body color application, than to apply body color and later mask the openings for black out.

I knew I had one showing the paint process.

Factory red oxide primer that someone was prepping for a color.

Obviously the semi gloss Black was applied first.
I would assume some type of a firm...
