Cool I had one about five years ago......

It happened right after I woke up in the morning.

There were zip-zagging flashes of light in random geometric patterns.

Only in my right eye.

I think the flashes were still there with my eye...

I'd set the value as if it were a core block and some parts.

Presume that you will have to replace everything as in a normal rebuild.

And if the block is a 500557 casting, that value would drop to close to zero.

I remember seeing something similar to this when MSD first became popular.

My recollection is a bit fuzzy as this was forty-plus years ago......

My younger brother had a 1977 Nova with a built-up 350 in it. 11:1, big hydraulic cam, Torker, Holley 750, Hooker headers. ...

I know what some of the ports are for.....

Vacuum modulator line for trans goes to the port on the upper front left with the red cap on it in your pic.

Vacuum advance line to distributor goes to the lower right port on the front that you...

Never, ever use a 12-point wrench or socket on a stuck bolt.

12-point tools strip things WAY too easily. Just not enough gripping surface.

Dremels or a carbide burr will be a waste-of-time. Been there and done that.

Mgarblik's method is absolutely the...

There are two vacuum hookups and one foam filter.

The vacuum hose from the fitting in the rear base of the carb goes to the single hose fitting sticking straight out the end with the wiring harness plugged into it - usually at the front. This needs...

1968 was the last year for the heat flapper.

1969-up did not use them. Not in stock manifolds or ram-air or long branch.

Partial VIN ?

Does the block have a partial VIN down next to the timing cover?

That will be what signifies which vehicle it was installed in originally.

The number above the 'WA' is the Engine Unit Number...

We believe in investing in the extra-precious metal futures.......

Copper, lead and brass. And powder. Prefer 'professionally assembled', but have the capability to assemble in-house if needed.

Very nice when these are delivered in sardine-style tins for...

I'd probably remove the cell and flush it out, but that's just me.

If you don't want to do that, then maybe consider running a temporary 'loop' line from the output of the pump, through a good inline 'sacrificial' filter, and then back into the filler neck of the...

Those always seemed like a gimmick to me.

We've run deep pans with a really big transmission cooler up front with no issues.

One like this. Dorman makes them in various sizes.

Great for a 'quickie fix'. They don't normally require you to take out anything else to get clearance.

Just get the rest of the old plug...

It might be Phillips Muscle Car Parts outside Tulsa. They've been around for quite a while.

I've never had any business with them, but the prices seemed kind of expensive.

You can always...

Moog CC501 Cargo Coils work very well.

The raise the rear just slightly and stiffen the ride a little bit. No more sagging.

We've used them on ALL our 1968-72 A-body and 1969-72 G-body stuff.

Most Pontiac balancers are a slip-fit, rather than a press-fit.

Chevrolets usually require the puller and sometimes use an installer tool. Pontiacs are usually not that hard to get on and off.

The most important part of taking the balancer off and putting it...

Just a suggestion - take it for what it's worth.....

I'd pay for someone to THOROUGHLY SONIC-CHECK all the cylinder walls in that block before you put it all back together.

My concern would be that when there is a thin enough wall in any one spot...

Not only do they have a separate setting for the AGM 'gel' batteries, many have a 'repair' setting for desulfating an standard battery that is showing its' age.
