I would never build this car. It's nice, but not a good ROI:

This one is worth the $17.5K NR IMO

It should be pointed out that the 69 convert above is from a 0 feedback seller. A true sign of a con, but it may be a newbie. Just don't pay for anything until you see the car.

Here's an interesting one. A No Reserve auction for a 69 Firebird convertible shell with a clear title. The shell is in really good shape and though the quarters are cut out, you'd have to cut them out anyway. Currently sitting at $505 with 6 more days. If you had a 69 convert with serious rust issues this could be a good deal. Palladium silver car with a black interior and black top.

Here's a NR 69 convert at $7K. Selling as a good candidate for a Camaro clone

Can you tell by the eBay ad this 69 T/A clone RA IV actually has a RA IV in it?

I agree. A Trans Am clone sure... but why toss in the RA IV claim and take some pictures where you can't tell? Sketchy, but it is a nice car.

Nice looking car, but either the seller is hoping for buyer excitement, or plain ignorance...

I wonder how far the 'buyer protection plan' goes - regarding misadvertising items... because any potential buyer has a strong argument on their side about the seller misrepresenting the car...

Probably another one of the many folk who think just throwing a "Ram Air IV cam" into the engine makes it a Ram Air IV engine...

sorry for coming late to the game....

wait.. that's a thing?

thews 07-06-2017 08:23 PM

Re-listed as a RAIII. Doesn't say anything about the engine except it's a 400 RAIII. I think the block should be a RAIII block to make this claim... still a nice car, but still sketchy IMO.

This "barn find" looks like the real deal 69 400 Limelight green convert stick car. At $18K it's worth consideration if the rust didn't eat it up.

Here's a 68 400HO 4-speed posi car black/black. A bit much at $30K and needs paint, but not that far off and he's taking offers.

That looked solid. And a limelight 400 sounds scarce.

I didn't know they installed carpet in the trunk...

thews 07-19-2017 11:07 PM

So sometimes I run across something on eBay so horrible I just can't believe someone would do this to a car/truck. This is not a first Gen... it speaks for itself. I guess I just think it's humorous someone would do this much work to create an abomination.

Here's a 67K mile blue vinyl top 69 6 cylinder auto with no reserve. It's being sold for someone else, so I'm assuming they really don't know much about it. Currently at $2K.

looks pretty nice at first glance but I doubt the "never seen salt or snow" comment when I look at the wheel opening shape (no moldings either) and the rivets holding together the rear valence.

unruhjonny 07-21-2017 02:55 PM

what a beautiful car!
