as im told with other panel tooling, it takes 6 months to make the tooling another 6 to test it and yet another 6 to begin production so your at least 18 months out for production and thats if everything goes right in EVERY WAY!

YVEYANT 08-19-2007 10:04 PM

Chris,
Any progress on this? I would be very interested in a set if and when they become available.

Does anyone at PY have an answer???

hottrodd 09-09-2007 09:16 PM

I honesty don't think it will ever happen now!!!!! dynacorn is making too muh money making the repop carmaros, firebirds, mustangs, complete body shells!!!, I see the are getting ready to repop the 70 challengers. and they are state all the time the new parts they are making. I first heard in 2002 they"were getting ready to make full quarter", five years later still no quarters. I guess in the big picture they don't feel that there enougth 66-67 gto, lemans, tempest to be be very profitable. but I really wish they would, there is alot of old goat, lemans that could be saved if there were some new quarter out there. I would buy a pair!!!!:(

I thought Yvesant posted some info indicating they were inside of 6 mos to delivery...can someone confirm this?

YVEYANT 09-10-2007 07:23 AM

Confirmed,
HOTROD must not of saw my updated thread in the lobby.
Randy from Dynacorn told me within 6 months they WILL be available. They have a 67 GTO in their possession which they are making full quarters for as well as a trunk lid.

hottrodd 09-10-2007 02:38 PM

yes i missed that!!!!!!!!!!!! i am willng to eat crow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i will order a pair when they come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hooray:

RedDirtRoad 10-20-2007 12:49 AM

I called Original Parts Group and they told me what everyone else knows "still in tooling, no available date yet". The told me they have an order in for 15 pairs and 12 pairs are already on hold for customers so i gave them my credit card # and have a pair on hold for myself now. I am not going to wait forever so i wanted to ask the members here if anyone used the skins that are available now and how good the quality is. Thanks

WTF!?

I guess we are still "In Tooling" on our '67 Goat Resto...but what will our cars values be once the 'Gawds' humble us with thier 67 1/4's? One can only whaite, hope and pray for the 'Great PY in the Sky' to fulfill our dreams of Sinewy 1/4 panels!?

YVEYANT 11-01-2007 05:34 AM

PY is not the one's making the quarters, Dynacorn is. We are waiting on them..

No, they won't fit the full-size 'B-body' big Pontiacs like your Bonneville.

These quarters are made to fit the mid-size 'A-body' Pontiac Tempest, Lemans and GTO.

Here's a lucky '67 GTO in need of a full restoration that doesn't need rear quarters. :D You can clearly see it's very different and a much smaller car than your '66 Bonne:

Is that yours Bart? Hope to see you joining the 66-67 club! Looks like a solid car...black plate?

Nice!

Chuck Morshead 04-20-2008 10:07 PM

I need a right side quarter within the next year for a future restoration project.

Rugratman 04-21-2008 02:59 PM

My plan......
We all pick a certain day of the year, and we all call Dynacorn at the same time/day....They will think, jeez we sure are getting alot of calls for the qtrs now....let's make them now. Make it sound like there is this huge need or market for them.

abefromen 04-21-2008 06:04 PM

I can't believe that these 1/4's are still not reproduced...........66/67 has to be the most popular year GTO's
