1969 Custom S 4-dr sedan, 350HO, TH400, 3.55 Safe-T-Track; 1 of 55 made
1970 Tempest 4-dr sedan w/L65 400 2-bbl, TH400: 1 of 84 made
1970 Lemans 4-dr sedan w/ M-20 4-spd, 3.23 Safe-T-Track: 1 of less than 10?

They are all driven in the summer and fun to drive. I don't see many 4-drs on the road anymore.

Dennis

Today lots of performance cars are 4 doors. . I find it odd it hasn’t become more acceptable for the older cars in retrospect with that being the case today .

It was originally an ugly yellow but now an uglier black unfortunately but he plans to put it back.

Auto...definitely does well around here

Sounds like something John Hutchinson from PurelyPMD would say. :) He would jokingly wish he had a tank of air from the late 60's so he could use NOS air to fill NOS tires.

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Technically the air we are breathing WAS around in1969 and has just been siting around so I guess it’s IS NOS air lol 😂 dare I say some of it may even be “factory air” direct from
The Pontiac plant although harder to verify.
Sorry couldn’t resists when. I saw this old post. Was just a funny co concept that could be stretched by a true salesman like Mr Mickey Thompson or a carol shelby type.

Technically every one of my Pontiacs are one of one. So not only do I win this thread.... I win it several times. :D:D :D

How many 79 Trans am WS6 4 speed non T -top were made?

Dragncar 02-24-2024 01:22 PM

I believe 2700 79 4 speed WS6 cars were made . Not sure about non T Top.

1967SC 02-25-2024 06:26 PM

I've got a 67 Sport Coupe with Cruise Control and 29 other Factory ordered options.
I would like to know how many others were built like that.
Cheers !
ETA..l have seen one RAV at the Indian Uprising show.

I own a 69 T/A with the Dearborn 3spd manual, the only 3spd built in Van Nuys. Not particularly popular back in the day, but it's pretty special to me.

I do believe Tom S. had owned many more than that.

Can't answer this question. There is a breakdown on how many 4-speed T/A's were made, no breakdown on how many were all WS6's.

If we know that all 400 '79 4-speeds were mandatory WS6's,
there's 2,485 non-T-Top 400 WS6 T/A's, and 1,590 301 non-T-Top 301 4-speed T/A's. Not all the 301 ones were WS6 though, and there are some hardtop 1979 Y84's with 4-speeds.

I own a 79 400 4 speed hard top

61-63 02-29-2024 06:39 PM

I would say Ken Freeman with his 1 of 2 '63 Super Duty Tempest. The other twelve were LeMans. I'm not sure if he drives it on the street but he races it.

TRAILERMIKE 2012 has the rarest pontiac. Who else has a 428 HO YK code installed backwards for race reasons, NASCAR, moonshiner, driven off a cliff, i forget the rest. 1 of none. HAHA. Oh, and worth 25K because built by trailermate Lou!

kingbuzzo 03-03-2024 01:35 PM
