I have a 68 power antenna, & have been thinking about installing it. Problem is I think its from a coupe. I can't really see a way that it will fit correctly in my convertible. Up till now I have been thinking about just keeping the fender antenna. thanks, 68ragtop http://automationsystems.ws/images/pontiac.gif |

I've seen a diagram of it somewhere but I can't remember where. Here's my 68 GTO that I've owned for the last 28 years. It's my High School car. 400, 350HP, 4 speed, 3.55 posi. Verdoro Green with Ivy Gold interior. I just got it back from the body after 2 very long years of waiting.

Whats the rule on posting pics with girls? I have a cool pic of a '68 with a girl standing in front with a pretty small bikini on. Don't want to offend or piss anyone off. I looked around on the board and could not find anything on this. TIA...

Thanks for the reply!! I was beginning to wonder if everyone was going to ignore my question http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...on_redface.gif. I figured the regulars would jump all over that one and tell me if it was cool or not. I haven't noticed any other images getting posted with girls. I`m with Jerry post it or just post a link to it and tell eveyone what it is then they can`t have a problem with you for posting it.
The rims would be American Racing Torq Thrust II`s 15x7 in front 15x8 in back with 235/60/15 in front and 275/50/15`s in the back. Thanks for the compliment Jimmy www.cardomain.com/id/gto_guy Everyone should believe in something,I believe I`ll have another drink. |

They look great!! I'm glad theres several of you that have put the TTIIs on a '68-69 GTO. Make it a lot easier for me to decide if I want to use 'em too. Anyone consider going with a lower profile/wider tire such as a 50 or 45 and has anyone thought about jumping up to a 17" or 18" rim? TIA.... |
|
I'm considering going with 265/50-16s, same diam. as G70-14s (225/70-14s) but wider, for daily use. That way I don't have to change the speedo gear so that I can switch between the "correct" sized bsw on RIIs for shows and the "better performing" wide tires for cruises and tours.

how do I put a pic of my 68 under my name like you guys have it?

And in sweeps a board newbie to pull an old post from the past. But I've been looking for a place to post pics of the ride I just picked up this past weekend. This looked like the place!

That's beautiful!!
Is that Goldenrod Yellow (Daytona Yellow) from 1969? What size are the tires/wheels? Nevermind on the tires, I just saw your other post, congratulations! |
I'm not sure what exact yellow it is. But it is bright as hell - not for shy drivers! I'll get through all the receipts and hopefully get to an answer by contacting the restoration shop.
I was surprised to see the widened PMD wheels running the 295/50/15's in the rear. That one detail made the car look much more badass IMO, particularly when viewed directly from behind. Mike M |
Wow, that's one retina searing car. It looks great. Congrats on becoming a GTO owner.

Here's a pic of mine in the process of being painted. I had the engine rebuilt last year and decided to paint it my self. Its been taking me a while to do, but I'm in no hurry. I don't have alot of time to work on it. Just Fridays mainly. I have 2 kids I'd rather spend my spare time with. I still have about 14 years to get it done http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...icon_smile.gif
