OK...How bout this bad boy! THIS is my work in progress on the day I was bringing it home!
|
That's what I 'm talking about Chris Roach!!!!!!!!!!!!!A JUDGE FLEXING IT'S MUSCLE.
|
69goatboy..
you should talk to Truman Fields about those heads. He may fix you up with some E-heads or something. He needs a set of #31s to restore his 'bird. Just food for thought. Good luck on your ride. Ron

Looking all lonely and deserted as she sits at the body shop awaiting her automotive equivalent of a DD boob job and a tummy tuck!
I tentatively pick her up on 10/22/05 to start to reassemble her |

Took this one on 10/9/05 at the Loma Linda Veterans Hospital Car Show in California

Took this at the Downtown Riverside California Cruise in April 2005.
Such a nice car, though not 100% correct. Unfortunately the owner always festoons the car with alot of crap that, IMHO makes it appear stupid. Definitely stuff that would be better suited on a Honda than a GTO! |

Here is mine. A real '69, but not a real judge.

Just got this so it doesn't look like much. Note the Bee spray on the fender :)
|
dancolkate
What color is that car??? |
bmx,
I don'tknow. It's a re-paint from who knows how long ago. I cleaned up one fender an it does look nice all shined up. The car was Mayfair Maize. |
It looks almost like Chrysler Burnt Orange Metallic. I had a Challenger RT/SE that color.
|
Or..
Castillian Bronze, a '71 Pontiac color. Supposedly rare on A-bodies, as it was originallt a Firebird color. Doesn't look bad!

Heres my Warwick blue convertible
|
Mark, you have one beautiful GTO. Love the paint, like glass. I too agree with you, leave the trim rings in the garage.
Carlos |
Thank you for the compliment Carlos. Yeah, I get heat about not having trim rings but it's good to see someone else out there that doesn't have them on either.
|
Yeah your car does look good with ou the trim rings. And also those pictures you posted of the POCI show were awsome!

Great looking cars guys.
I just hauled this RAIII auto up from Virginia to PA. The drivetrain and Ram Air is all there, accept the carb, which I hope to get later from the seller. The body is going to need a lot of love. |

How do GTOs get this bad? Wouldn't you clean her up just a little to sell it?
The cat has detected many mouse entry points. |
An RAIII with a three on the tree? Thats gotta be rare
|
SLOWGTO
Thats got to be a pretty rare car being it's a RAIII car with a column auto. Is it pretty stripped of options? |

I am new to this forum, but here is a pic of my 69 GTO, its not the best pic, it was taken with a instant cam and scanned, I will have to get a better pic when I pull it out of the garage. Car was bought new in 69 by my dad, restored about 12 years ago, and I am currentally looking for a place to have a frame off resto in the near future. RAIII btw

Was this the car that sold on Ebay several weeks ago?

Here are a couple more pics of my 69 I got the car out today for the first time in about 4 years. Car was bought new in 69 by my dad, we have had it ever since. It was out family car, I have been on family vacations in the car from coast to coast when I was little. It was repainted about 13 years ago, and the engine was redone about 5 years ago. I have never had it in a car show, I dont think its show quality. But I have seen some at shows that were alot worse. I plan to have a frame off on it soon. Then I would like to show it. This forum has got my intrest back in the GTO
