thanks guys for all the kind words, polar pontiac, i will try to post some more pictures of my engine compartment when i get the chance, as i have changed a few things since these's pictures were taken, mainly wheels and tires and carbs, now annular discharge 830 holleys ,instead of edelbrocks, i hope that i will be able to get this car to the track next year to see what kind of times it will turn, not making any predictions as i know that it takes more than just a big engine to go fast. i will keep you informed.

afx421 11-24-2006 08:43 AM

I think for you to be able to keep the same screenname, you have to put some spray on top of the blower! :) :) :) I just happen to have an extra! LOL

Nice---wondering about Fuel injected and if that would work on the street--found this pic on ebay of a 75 T/A 455 6-71 etc..

wareagle, i dont know about fuel injection, for the street unless it is EFI, mechanical injection is to complicated for me, i would rather stick with carbs, this engine has a .030 over 400, crower cam hyd, .507 lift 246. duration at .050 302 adv. 114 lobe separation, forged trw pistions, eagle 3d rods, ported 6x-8 heads with ferrea valves ,headmen headers, with 3 inch exhaust, and flowmaster mufflers, with turndowns, turbo 400 trans with shift kit, 3200 stall,b and m shifter, 10 bolt rearend with 3.90 gears, with auburn posi, like i said earlier i have made some changes to the car in the last month, with new wheels, torque thrust d's 15x4 in the front and 15x10 in the rear, with hoosier drag radial 275/60/15 in the rear and there hoosier front runner drag tires in the front, also got rid of the edelbrock carbs,as they just did not perform up to expectations, now have boost referenced 830 annular discharge holleys on there, and wow!!!! what a difference the car picked up big time!! i am hoping to race this car next year, i would like to see 10's out of it when i get done tuning on it, but we shall see. pontiac 462 if i don't reach 10's on the blower i will contact you about that nitrous kit!!!!!! thanks again.

There was a 78 T/A 8-71 428 etc. that would show up at our local PONTIAC SHOW for a couple of years -boy did it sound nice--you could hear it from blocks away- Awesome. You'll like yours --what a attention getter.

these are pics from before we got the hood on it....bds makes a great efi plate and hat....bit pricey but it keeps it from blocking your view when driving...

Wareagle 11-24-2006 06:34 PM

Very nice-- I saw a setup like this on a 67 Tempest with a 455 from Sweden..

Here are a couple of pics of my 69 with Kinsler EFI. I put the injection on it in 1998. Very Streetable. I had run the old Offy 2 x 4 manifold with dual carbs and a scoop. Visibility was 50%.

The throttle response must be right now--must scare the local Chevy crowd etc.--Awesome.

Very nice ride there!!! Looks great. I just don't understand the part about driving with a blocked view. :) :) LOL

Trust me, you get used to it! I would love to convert to EFI in the future but have to spend money on other things first.

flamedabone 11-25-2006 10:42 AM

Since this post has turned into a "show us your blowers...", here's mine.

This is a mock up block as I am gathering parts. I still have lots of parts to buy, plus a new shortblock, but she should be on the road this winter.
