Help a fellow 71' GTO owner out!
 

One of the guys over on CP has his 71' GTO in a contest on "Gold Eagle 104 octane boost" website. It's the Cardinal red 71' . Last week he posted he needed some help from Poncho owners because a Camaro was kicking his tail. He is going up a few points a day in the voting. I figure a post here might help him catch up!

That's how I felt,plus his car is similar to mine,so I take it personally!
When he first posted about a week ago,,the voting was about 77% Camaro,only 17% for the GTO. Now it's 52/37,so the goat is gaining fast!

Yeah,and look up in the "lobby" area,there is a little drama starting over this. The Camaro owner is questioning how lilredgto could gain so many votes.:rolleyes:

Another day another vote. Now all I have to do is remember to vote everyday as being a 71 owner myself (and have been since Sept 86) I am quite partial to that year.

Thanks A.W.Dillie. Would love to see some photos of the car. I've owned mine since Oct 31st 1985. Was a daily driver for 2 years. Then I came to my senses! Started Body off in 1997..finished 2000...but as we all know they are never finished!

lil you are so right. Mine was a daily driver for close to 15-19 years or so. Also it was my race car for about 15 of those years but after breaking the original frame and tearing up another one, along with getting my left knee hurt on the job nearly two years ago and tow surgeries (so far) I have retired it from the dragstrip and hit the local cruise scenes and club events. As soon as I can I'll post pics. But for an idea of what it looks like, pull up pics of F Rocks Orange 71, mine and his are virtually identical.

Looked for those pictures, but haven't found them yet, but that orange is sweet on the 71. Thanks again for the vote. Hope you remember tomorrow..LOL
