favorite 80's video?
Growing up in cow pasture land had its disadvantage. No Cable, no mtv no videos. So while the other kids were discussing what videos they watched the night before, I was totally in the dark. So now with youtube I can watch all the crap i was missing or not.
After viewing some Duran Duran and Sheena Easton, Blondie, Prince, Ah Ha and spandaou ballett, Kinks and may others. Who or what was your favorite video? patrick |

I had a chance to meet and talk with Dusty Hill a couple of years ago. Great story about how they got into videos. The Tres Hombres just got back from a tour and while out had cable put in their homes. Frank is channel surfing and comes across a channel with music. He calls Billy and they start watching, then call Dusty who is already watching the channel called MTV. They decide they should do something, but they don't have the big hair, or good looks, just great music. Billy decides to get his new '34 and some models in videos for their upcoming album and writes a story line with them as cameo's, since they don't look that good anyway. What goes better with Rock and Roll than cool cars and hot women, people will watch them and listen to us. The label calls them later and asks if they are interested in doing a video. Well yeah, we've already got a few ideas for the new album. Dusty also told me his wife is from the Legs video. Don't know which one though. |
