No, chevy powered? Probably would have flattened the tires on it if I did see it. Just kidding, maybe.
Yes it was there on Saturday in the car corral for sale I didn't see it Sunday But it is now back on Racing Junk.
How did the car look,so he never ran the car that day?
If that was the car in the car corral is looked GOOD!
George |
Gto George Did it have gray tin work inside/ Did you get a good look at it. Was it good or real GOOD. Thanks Don
There was a sharp Bonneville up on a trailer in the corral (sale) area... don't recall this 62 cat tho.
It was a pretty car and yes it had gray interior. it is done first class The car never ran down the track. The for sale sign said 40.000 I see it is now on Racing Junk for 35.000 plus the trailer. Looks like a good deal to me.
Is that with the piece of sh!t chevy engine?or without it wasting space until a real engine can be put in it?
wish I had the $$$$. I'd buy it. Anyone want to buy mine?

The purists are ruining these "Pontiac". Forums it's his car he chose to run that powerplant. His money. See how it works? If you are incapable of appreciating all the Pontiac style of the body because of the motor keep it to yourself. Or buy it and build it your way. It's a bad ass ride. I'd like to put my ford heads in it :)

ANGEL 71: I wouldnt take it personal.
Ive been on here for a long time and you quickly learn who the ones are who dont have much "tact". Many are just trying to be cool and fit in with others..... and I would bet NOT ONE would say the same thing to your face. Bty, Nice car, and no small accomplishment what your running. Jeff |

Angel, that is a nice looking car no matter what sits in between the frame rails. |

I remember seeing that 62 in the for sale section at Norwalk, it was real nice.
Then I read it had a chevy...bummer. |
Nice looking car, BBC in it, sucks big time.
Its not personal, no one knows you. But this is the biggest, baddest Pontiac race forum on earth. So be prepared to take some, doing that to that beautiful old Pontiac. Its just that after seeing so many Pontiac engines yanked out in favor of chevys, our beloved Pontiac engines going by the wayside some (like me) do not like seeing old Pontiacs "ruined" You car is not ruined, nice car. 8s is 8s and very fast and is no joke. When you start it up, and hear it, its just another chevy. Its just that today, one can call up a company like AP and buy a real Pontiac engine, a reliable 1050 horsepower that will get you in the 8s for about the same cost as a BBC. New for new, but where Pontiacs cant compete with BBCs is the used BBC engines you can find on Racing Junk for cheap. Someday maybe. Well at least you are not running 10s with a BBC in it. If you were, and there are plenty of them out there you would deserve it. Nice car, but it just is not right. I say it to their faces all the time, every time at our track. I might not tell them its a piece of S*^$, but I tell them a Pontiac can do what their BBC can. Even the guy with the 1800HP blown Merlin, and I am right. |
Well who bought it.
going to pick up today, cant wait

well got the car home no problems, car is everything it was suposed to be, motor plate has pontiac bolt pattern also, going to chanhge a few little things and than to the track in a couple weeks,
I believe that car is from my neck of the woods. Iheard rumors that one guy on Rt 22 near Blairsville Pa. started the build. I did see a 62 in his business at one time. He had an IA block. Don't know for sure if its the same car though just rumors.
I am glad a real pontiac guy got the car it's a beauty best of luck.Maybe you could post some pic after you put a pontiac back in it.
