Psychedelic, Man!
:D |
Huggy Bear's ride?
It needs a little ball fringe around the headliner. ;) |
Woulda made a great extra in Corvette Summer rotating on a big mirror in a Vegas Hotel.
|
It's like, man, you know, I can dig, but like, at a loss, is far out, bitchin', boss, freakin' out on it, basically, right on............

I actually like it. Would want the interior back to original, but the paint looks pretty vintage.

I noticed the flares, spoilers, and air extractors have been "molded in", too. Wonder what the asking price is... |
Are those fender wells chrome?
|

Needs a chrome hooker roll bar also |
Very period...Unfortunately its my period ;)

LOLO almost fell off the chair!! I wonder why the varmits didnt have some fun with it in storage?? Biggest asset.. Oddly enough its a NON AC car! |

we can laugh about it now, but i can assure you back in the day that was one bad ride that everyone would have gone googoo about.
i still remember it like yesterday that a guy who lived across the street from one of my best friends bought a new brewster green 4 speed SD t/a and it wasnt just a few days old if that and we sat there and watched him take a reverse fishnet and lay it over the car and then he spray painted metallic gold over the car. back then we thought it was really cool. |
Doesn't surprise me that pinkie22love and the car are in Colorado. I just finished a contract in northern Colo and there was a headshop on every street. Wish it were something other then a 4 speed, no air, matching #'s 71. I've got a hard loaded LE w a molded in rear spoiler. Why??
|
That's badass!! I wish the interior was original, but oh well. What's it worth??
|
I would buy it for a dollar! It is a jaw dropper car. Really what he or she want for it?
Is it a real TA? |
Looks like something Barris would do. You almost would have to leave it the way it was - but you couldn't be shy driving that car, people would come out of the woodwork to stare at it! Does anybody have any idea what he wants for it?
|
I recall a 'cuda around my hometown in jersey that would've been a twin brother to this paint scheme. Talk about a way back groovy flashback machine. Belongs in a museum ....
|
I'd rock it. I have the whale tale trunk spoiler to add and sidepipes.
In the sea of 'stock' cars, its nice to one like this. tasteful, that is up for debate, but it is a great example of what these cars were in their period. |
Goofy master cylinder...Looks newer than 80's
Paint definitely Car craft style late 70-early 80's Is missing the whale tail and hooker side pipes, I agree. Needs the ubiquitous Cragar S/S rims as well. Hard call as what to do with it. Though I appreciate it it is so dated in style I would bring it back to stock. BUt I do appreciate it as is sits. |
The more I look at it the more I like it! Give it a wash/wax/tune and fn drive it! Like a said, 7" and 10" cragar combo on some ol' Pro-Trac or Super Stock Formula 1 Tires and its ready to rock! Its the perfect late 70's street machine I remember!
|
Its yours! for $22.500 or make a offer.:gag:
|
The poor T/A. Never got into 15x10's in the back, air shocks, 15x7's up front, sidepipes, molded wide flares, or rear window louvers for that matter.

Maybe thats 2,250.00 |
Radiator support looks like it may be chrome also.
|
shoulda made the last austin powers movie :
"yea, groovy baby..." |
That car no doubt DID have 10 (or 12) inch rims in back in the day. Those rim / tires are a later change out, the later TA rims on it didn't exist then.

They were awesome. (or 'radical') :) |
What do you think it is worth as it sits? Original carb is gone, functional shaker is there but gutted of the solenoids.
|
John Travolta comes to mind when I look at this car.. I think there was a Travolta F body??
|
So the "good 'ole days" weren't always that good after all! Did anyone notice the dash plate with a later RTS emblem? That seems out of place in that car.
I know something else that'd make that car. A Craig 8-track tape player with 2 huge house speakers seat belted in to the back seat!! |

Ever since I saw this thread, and the link to E-Bay, I've been trying to figure out where I saw a similar car to this one. I finally remembered where I saw it. This is not the same car as the E-Bay one, but similar in that classic 1970's custom look...

I pulled this picture from the Forums quite some time ago but I don't know who had it originally.

The "Charlies Angels" on the hood is a classic!

Craig H. maybe posted that? I always wanted to paint my car like that. Guess I was lucky I didn't have the money. :D :) |

A simpler time, that's for sure.

Funny - The TA that's the subject of this thread reminded me of that same Car Craft cover car. I still remember that cover like few others. And in those days, I actually had a subscription to Car Craft...
Note the CC car has the appropriate chrome Cragars that seem to have gone missing (they HAD to be there at one time!) from the auction TA. |
