HOW MANY CARS/TRUCKS DO YOU OWN?

I grew up in a house where we only owned one car - my father had a company car occasionally before he owned the business so that helped, but there were no extras around. Today, everybody seems to have multiple cars around - winter trucks/suv's, summer convertibles, commuter, weekend & especially collector cars. I'm looking for a car for my son, but my ex-wife currently has two cars :noidea: so there's no reason for me to hurry with that.

How many cars/trucks do you have in your household?

8 collector cars, 2 pickup trucks & one suv.

An SUV for me, a minivan for the wife and my 67 Firebird. My youngest daughter will start preschool next year and I hope to get a newer crew cab pickup with the savings from daycare costs. My oldest daughter will be driving in 2 years so I may save the SUV for her.

Tom Vaught 12-10-2011 12:36 PM

I only have a few now:

I have two 64 (LeMans/GTO) type vehicles. My original convertible and a 64 Lemans hardtop chassis car.

I have a 2001 Ranger Super Cab (in perfect shape) but will probably at some point do the Extreme 4x4 routine on it.

The toys being mentioned:

I have a "last year" Windstar (which is an outstanding vehicle for hauling college stuff back and forth to school for my daughter and 4 people).

I have a 2010 Ranger regular cab short that my son drives

and lastly I have a new Escape flex-fuel vehicle with a sport towing package (so we don't have to use two vehicles) to haul 4 people up north with our summer crap.

Ahhhh, it's so nice to be around guys that make me feel "normal". :D The average person always reacts with surprise when I tell them we've got 6 cars. I tell them that my "collection" is nothing compared to that of some of my friends.

I've got the 4 old Pontiacs listed below and then my truck that gets used for work and transportation and my wife's station wagon. I'd like to get another modern car since I do so much running around that doesn't require a truck. Between having to move work stuff out of the way to fit people and lousy mileage another car would be great... except my wife doesn't want another car in the driveway. I think a 2011/12 Mustang convertible with 305 HP, 6 speed manual and 31 MPG would do just fine...

A daily driver '03 Buick Lesabre, '70 Lemans Sport, '94 GMC Sierra GT, '09 Yamaha Vmax and a '98 Vmax... and I live in an apartment. I have a one car garage here that I manage to squeeze both m/c's and the Lemans or GMC into depending on which one I happen to be driving on the weekends. Thankfully, my Dad and some friends let me store my crap in their pole barns during the winter months so I can put the DD in my garage when the snow starts to fly.

What are you, the Government??? It's none of your business how many cars I have.

Truthfully, I'm not saying.

poncho-mike 12-10-2011 11:36 PM

Way too many.

I mostly own 70-74 T/As and Formulas and 71-72 Lemans/GTOs with the endura front end. My late model toy is an 02 WS6 T/A 6-spd convertible, my late model drivers are 02 and 06 Saturn Vues, and my work truck is a 96 2500 4x4 Suburban.

I've got 20 cars, not counting a few rough parts cars such as a 71 GTO. I have a few early T/As I saved the drivetrains and cowls out of as well.

Formulabruce 12-10-2011 11:57 PM

More parts cars than drivers LOL... Around here everything returns to the earth......

YEP. My co-workers always give me a hard time about how many I have. I tell them, "What I got is nothing compared to some people I know!"

15 that are projects, future projects or parts vehicles
