Nice little truck. Can't wait to see it when it's finished. I had a S10 blazer 2 wheel drive 2 door that had a small block Olds in it. Done up with a Bravada grill and interior.

I know its a preference thing, but a 5 speed would be so much fun in that truck! I had a new 83 GMC S15 Gypsy with a 2.8 and 5 speed. It was a fun truck. Yours will be a BLAST |

Yes the crossmember needed cutting.. nothing major. I'm using two RH manifolds as you can see in the pics above... the one on the pass. side is from a '69 GTO and the driver side is from my manifold collection (I'll have to check on the number).
Yes I modified the steering linkage that goes from the firewall to the steering gear box. I'll post pics soon... I've done tons of work on it lately. Kris. |

Shorty 12 bolt truck style rear. 3.08:1 gears, passenger 12 bolt 3 series Eaton Posi (had to machine minor clearance to make it fit), big Ford bearing style ends (cut out of billet), 30 spline Strange axles, BOP brakes from a 8.2 rear and lightened 7.5 S10 drums.

Fired it up for the first time today.... Will post pics of the exhaust later. I installed a factory exhaust (almost direct fit) from a 2004 LQ4 Hummer and connected it to the pontiac manifolds with mandrel bent pipes.

A little (Unsolicited, I know) advice. Sell the Holley and get a Quadrajet for it. Preferably one done up by someone like Cliff Ruggles. You'll probably end up with more power and you'll definitely enjoy better mileage. |

Man I need to put up some fresh pics.. It's almost complete, just put it on 4 corner weights and looks like it will weight 2900lbs w/o driver!! That's nice considering all the heavy street parts that are on it ( 18" wheels, all steel, factory manifolds, factory hummer exhaust etc).
I'm putting a service replacement SD '74 Q-jet on it with electric choke, fresh rebuild kit and new primary rods from Cliff... I'm excited to test it out with the new carb :) |

The Hedman shorty Pontiac headers may be justified in this case once your ready to dump the logs. Very nicely executed project!

It was like 59% front.. and pretty equal +/- 20 pounds between sides. I didn't write the info down since it's not 100% done yet. It's got the battery in the front and heavy stuff up front so that explains the front % numbers. But hey it's a street car! A car like this gutted out with e-headed motor and glide should be 2500lbs easy.

18" E/T classic five. 18x8 up front and 18x9.5 out back. Nitto tires, the back are drag radials.
