any cv nitrous killers going to be there?

twin turbo bill get his done yet?

bankbook with the monster turbo done?

three different combos: nitrous,N/A and turbo.

then we have a new type of Racing.. see below.

greatgto is looking for the inaugural signature engine picture race against someone elses signature. :jaw:

You drinkn tonite ? :)

Ron H 07-16-2013 10:06 PM

The engine picture race is considered CV-1 class racing. They will line up their pics and judge how quickly they load onto a web page. Winner gets a printed color 8 x 10 to hang on the wall.

tom s 07-16-2013 10:29 PM

I will still pay the entry fee($50) for the first CV headed car entered in the HU/NA race at Norwalk!Has to make a Q pass.Tom

In addition to the engine picture race, can we have an engine stand show for those who don't race? Break out the wax and the detail spray

F it... I'll race him! The accessories are still being hung/adjusted/plumbed. It doesn't have a fancy non-functional dry sump oiling system on it, but it does have 8 second Moroso Fab Shop valve covers (Bruce Maichle) so that's gotta be worth a couple tenths :cool2:

It will be close, but looking good. Will know next weekend.

jdw_poncho 07-17-2013 10:19 PM

I hate to admit this on the forum but I have to throw the towel in. I was getting it ready to fire up late last night and found out my t400 case is cracked between the fittings. Not sure when it happened but I think its when I dropped the cooler on the floor. I had it still hooked up and the cooler was ziptied up out of the way and it broke loose and yanked the hoses pretty hard since the car was 2' in the air. I suspect it was already cracked and this could have just made it worse.

I had a very small leak last year which I thought was a pan gasket. Im thinking it was weeping from it and I just couldnt see.

Guess Im bringing cold beer for the ECM since my cv-1's wont be there.:censored:

I have M&M local to me so I might call and see if they can get me done in time. Its still possible.....

tom s 07-17-2013 10:19 PM

You get 3 Q runs and at least one elim.Maybe he breaks or red lights because he is afraid to be beat by a CV car and you go to the next round! You get in for free if your the first to sign up and have virtually nothing to lose!Tom

My t400 case is presently empty and relatively clean. I dont need it anytime soon if you want to cover shipping and replace mine at some point after Norwalk. Let me know call/text 6154829015.

Bruce,
This is a no win class because most of the people here will no believe the results. If we look at a NHRA Pro Stock, 500 ci engine, 2350 lbs, 5 speed that at a 2 digit DA will run 6.5x at 212 mph and has a starting line HP of under 1500 (corrected dyno HP). It may gain almost a 100 more HP near the finish line due to increased intake pressure from the 200 MPH plus speed entering the hood scoop.
