Just wondering if there is any other Pontiac guys on here from my area

Nice any of the Pontiac guys around here ever get together and BS went to the Pontiac posse roundup it seemed really small thought there'd be a better showing for Pontiac guys

Nice, I just brought my 69 Lemans 350 Ho car in the shop.We will be rebuilding the engine and prepping for paint.

Nice I think there needs to be more Leman's out there every one tries to make gto clones out of them

I have a 68 LeMans, a 75/71 Formula 400, 74 trans/am, 64 nova gasser, and a 67 Ford F100. For my classics...
Im restoring them all at this time.. wow is that some work.. Getting parts from Pete up in Priest Lake.. great guy... cool cars..

PVP and I were talking about this.. Mine is not cloned into a GTO.. tho I do have a 67 GTO engine with a 66 tri power with it.. Just now taking the body off.. was only gonna do bushings.. but decided to have the frame blasted and then powder coated. We are excited... looking forward to getting to know other enthusiasts.

North Spokane here. I'm the treasurer of the Inland NW Pontiac club that puts on the Pontiac Posse Roundup in Post Falls. We were pretty disappointed in the turnout last year. More open class cars than Pontiacs :( I have a black 69 Gto convert and a white w/red guts 68 Lemans. You guys should come to our club meetings. I can let you know when/where if you are interested. We drive through Priest River almost every weekend on our way to T Falls, Mt where we are building a house. Have only driven the convertible to Montana once yet. Those danged suicidal deer scare me!

When I went to the car show seemed like a good bunch of guys and gals I didn't really have a chance to talk to any members I know there club meetings are in spokane Rich don't exactly don't know the exact location the last I talked to said it was at a restaurant someplace on Trent

I actually have two sisters that live near Spokane in Valley, Washington. My parents lived in Loon Lake for a time also.

Nice area I was out there around the year 2000 took a 9,200mile road trip.

Once in awhile my sisters tell me when they spot a GTO out there.

Hello All, There will be a meeting of the Pontiac club at The Steer Inn on Market street this Wednesday the 12th at 6:00. With the Snow I don't expect to see any or many Pontiacs, but it is always good to sit around and chat Pontiac.

Hi All,

I was just made aware of this site from a guy who has his Pontiac listed on Ebay. Didn't know this existed!! Anyway, YES, I'm a Northwest guy, live in Post Falls and own a fairly rare 1972 Lemans Sport Convertible with the GTO options. It is PHS documented and apparently only 1 of 280 made!!! I've been to the Post Falls Pontiac show a couple times but couldn't make it in 2013. Looking forward to hitting the meetings starting in March. While I have a nice rig now, my ultimate hunt is for a 67 GTO, preferrably a rag top but presently open to various rigs. And yes, I plan to have both at once (Midlife crisis). I have a friend who also owned a GTO previously and will be looking for a new ride also, so this will add a couple new Poncho lovers!! Ok, will try to post a picture of my ride.

Hey Demonic68!!

Good eye!! Yes, it is sitting at the Post Falls L.S.!! When I acquired the car, it had the standard 6" wide Rally's with "enemic" tires on it. Yes, it was stock but couldn't handle the power and cornered like the tires were too small. I bought a repro set of Rally's, 7's in the front and 8's in the back with 235 front and 275 back. Wanted "that look" and it handles and grabs sooooooooooooo much better!! I have a garage full of parts to put on it for some visual improvements. New window winders, sill plates, trunk mats new shocks all the way around with air in the back. Interior is all original and believe it or not so is the paint!! It's a 10 footer since the paint is 42 years old!! Has the infamous "crackle look" on the hood. I bought this from the 2nd owner who had the suspension and power train fully rebuilt. It runs like it!! :old:

Ya Made a good choice with the wheel and tire package I like it looks really good gives it a nice aggressive look.

Yup, that's what I was after. If I had to do it over, I might go one size smaller on the back so it didn't look too overbalanced but on the road, it looks a lot better than in the pictures!! Can't wait for our butts to be out of the deep freeze so this thing can see daylight again!! Snow again tonight in N. Idaho!!

Well, I plan to be there this year after being absent in 2013. Life gets in the way sometimes!! Will bring my 72 rag and if all the stars align and I can get a list of "gotta-do's" done before then, I hope to also be driving that infamous 67!! Side note, the GTO club in Spokane usually meets the 2nd Wed of each month but I haven't seen a notice yet??? That would be the 12th so maybe see a notice this week if you are on Ralph's mailing list. L:old:

I'll be going to but unfortunately without my car. Question have they ever considered having the show in a more accessible/ easier spot to find ? I found it fine but I also invited 5 other people and they just gave up cause they could not find / see it from the street so they just turned around and went home.

Don't know if they have ever looked to have it elsewhere. I think the setting next to the river, etc. is probably very attractive. They might be open to suggestions?? Since I live in PF, I percieve it's easy to get to but you are right, you will NOT spot it from any road. If anyone would ask for the Red Lyon in town or Mapquest/GPS it, should have no problem. 2 turns off the freeway and you are there. Les :old:

I am a NW guy, but I am down in the Tri Cities. West Richland specifically is where I live. I hope to get my Firebird back out eventually this year.

The one year I took my 72 to the roundup (2012), it got 2nd place trophy behind a club member's incredible 69 rag top. Think that might be Jeff's car?? Anyway, it's a killer rag top, interior to be very jeolous of. The cashmere interior is my top choice if I can find the 67 rag I'd consider buying. :old:

I am starting a new job that will hopefully give me more time to devote to my car. I would like to get it back together and get out more.

Yup, GTO'S R US!! plans to be there and am bringing another GTO fan. First time at an actual meeting for both of us. I'll be wearing a Pontiac GTO hat............find me if you can???? Les :old:

Attended the local meeting for the first time. A lively group for sure!! Hilight for me was one of the members driving in his jet black 67 GTO!! Renewed all interest in finding one (as if I needed it!!). About 14 people there and discussions of the coming year's events. We should try to show up in a few Pontiacs for the April meeting if it's anything as nice as last night was!! L :old:

This is my first meeting but I've been on their Email list for a couple years and still have NOT joined the club formally due to time constraints. I have been looking for a machine shop for a while I also hear Kevin down at precision balancing is a great guy to and whatvis making me think about going to Kevin is the fact they have a 8 sec pontiac powered dart which tells me they have at least been around a pontiac and know what it takes to keep it together for a 8 sec pass lol
