PY Pinata Poll

Hey Everyone
We want your opinion on piņatas. Here's the premise:

If you are at a car show and the host announces they have a car/truck shaped Pinata for the kids to break open. What car/truck shaped piņata would you like to see a dozen kids hitting with a wiffle ball bat?

We made a test piņata roughly in the shape of a 1964 GTO:
http://pysales.com/gto_pinata.jpg

and we had some fun testing to see if it was too strong or too weak to be broken with a wiffle ball bat:

http://pysales.com/gto_pinata_video.jpg

But we thought giving the kids a American musclecar to break wouldn't be as much fun as watching them smash a piņata shaped like an import.

What car/truck (in piņata form, of course) would you like to see smashed with wiffle ball bats? Choose from the Makes in our poll above or post your own recommendation.

Thanks
Performance Years staff

What's the noise a Prius makes when passing?

Jerry H. 05-21-2014 09:03 PM

Better not state my opinion. It seems to bring out the 'best' in folks and then the thread gets locked.

I voted for other...a so-called "smart" car.

Bob Hall 05-21-2014 10:39 PM

I chose other which translates to red air cleaner decal in my mind :)

Baron Von Zeppelin 05-21-2014 10:40 PM

Ice cream truck

and real big chrome wheels

fyrffytr1 05-21-2014 10:49 PM

Yugo! You could use a real one and still bust it with a wiffle bat!

HighPlainsDrifter 05-22-2014 02:41 AM

SSR or Prowler. Dumbest cars ever built.

NBF823 05-22-2014 02:58 AM

Normally I would pick BMW, but I voted for Kia. You gotta make it a Soul!

Make it silver. Its one of three cars that I own and its my daily.

You know what, make it one of those stupid Kia hamsters!

They're hamsters? I though they were rats.

David Jones 05-22-2014 08:35 AM

Just looking, I'd stick with something fairly simple.........

Ogre 05-22-2014 08:57 AM

Looks like we're narrowing it down to a Prius with a red air cleaner sticker on its' hood ...

Ogre

69goatboy 05-22-2014 09:17 AM

A Corvette, with the incorrect shade of overspray.

Or anything else with a bowtie.

67droptop 05-22-2014 09:26 AM

If it's the Prius maybe you could play that little jingle from their commerical during the bashing event????

You know it right.......A Prius for EVERYONE! LOL

What should the piņata be filled with? Candy? What kind?
Anything other than candy (and air cleaner decals)?

Steve

AROWHED 05-22-2014 01:44 PM

Smart car. Filled with lemon drops.

any type of candy that can resist hitting the ground without the packaging breaking open. Root beer barrels? Sweet Tarts? Bottle Caps?

Andre 05-22-2014 04:24 PM

I'm with those who said Prius. Paint it red with a gold hammer and sickle on it. It should be easy to make. Take a shoebox, and there you go.

I told one guy that I refuse to ride around in his Prius. Why he asked with a dismayed look? Cause I don't want to be mistaken for a damn communist. Burn gasoline like the rest of us till it's all gone.

X4 on the Prius.... and the red Buick air cleaner decal we all love to hate. Fill the piņata with lemon drops. And if the kids aren't around..... pigeon poop. ;)

Alternative cars could be the new Cadillac ELR Coup, or those Telsa pieces of crap. You know, the Biber mobile.... with him in it. LOL :D

Is it OK if we use candy from this century? :D :D
I can't remember the last time I've seen root beer barrels or bottle caps for sale. Are they still being made??
I think I saw sweet tarts last halloween. Someone was telling me that sweet tarts in Canada are different than sweet tarts in the US. Anyone confirm/deny?

Hey, I found a few root beer barrels in my truck the other week after hauling kids around. I did buy bottle caps for this past halloween, they were in similar packets as the sweet tarts. As for the taste being different, I can't confirm. I can fully confirm that Hershey's chocolate bar is different tasting bought here then the one I got in Canada :gag:

GT182 05-22-2014 11:12 PM

I'll take a case of Coffee Crisp bars from Canada for me. Sorry Steve but they're too good to use in the piņata.

GOAT WHORE 05-23-2014 01:37 AM

How about filling it with Jordan almonds and pork rinds.

Aspirin, Ibuprofin (sp?), Doan's (Back Pills), Glucosamine/Chondroitin (sp?) ... things that old farts (and getting-old farts like me) will need after a swinging a bat at a pinata, and what they can use after laying on the garage floor doing some sort of laborious task...

PunchT37 05-28-2014 12:22 PM
