Been BUSY...BUSY....BUSY

As some of you know Mike and I bought a Rancher on 10 acres, about 15 minutes from where we live now. Our home is on the market for sale, hopefully sells soon!! The new place needed renovation, so for a year we've been very busy. Still not done a lot to do inside and outside with two pole buildings scheduled for December for the toys. :) So here's a preview of some of the work thus far. As the weather turns bad we'll move inside. The garage will become a combination, family room, powder roon, dining room, and laundry room. The stone will follow around the front with another picture window being added where the overhead doors are and it's closed up and window opening framed in. Out back will be another deck under a roof, and a koi pond, and many flower beds and gardens. The Pole Barns will color match the house, gray siding, colonial blue roof's. I will update as we progress.

Stay tuned :) I'm very excited!

A new chance on life
A new Home
two new buildings for future restorations

And the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT>>>>>> I'm going to be a Grand Mom in January my Daughter Miranda, known here as PonTiaYackChick is expecting a little girl. :) Her name will be Marianna Rae. xoxo.

There will be white spindles and a colonial hand rail added to the porch between the posts, as well top of post will have half round spindled decorative pieces, from post to porch ceiling. Like the old Victorian homes had.

Great news on the new home MA looks like there is plenty of room for a nice shop out back. I hope you are feeling well and congrats to Miranda, Mike and you. Craig

Man you keep Mike busy!! Looks great so far.Congrats again.

GT182 10-11-2014 07:39 PM

Congrats MaryAnn.. and Mike too. Looks pretty darned nice. Must be nice to have all that room with 10 acres.

And did you say a Kio pond to add? Have I got a deal for you. I have one I want to get rid of... all of it. Fish, pump, filter, hoses, liner, extras, and rocks too. Not as many fish as a month ago, but still 20 or so including a couple of babies.

WOW! I wish we were ready for the fish, but we're not yet. :) A Lot to do around the back of the house before I can do the pond, pavers, and flower beds. Maybe by the time the PY show is next year we might be ready. Why you want to get rid of your pond if I may ask?

Yeah the 10 acres is nice, didn't really want that many but we got a hell of a deal. And I sold my Moms house to buy this one. Well the 10 acres gives me an excuse to get a John Deere GATOR :) some of the property is wooded and we're putting a fireplace in the family room eventually when we get that far.

Thank you :) I picked the colors. Not a fan of brick I wanted stone with blues and grays, with the blue roof and shutters. The front door will also be the same blue as the shutters with a full view glass storm door. As well the porch hand rail will be blue too, spindles will be white. We kept that 1979 brick, and my stone guy incorporated it into the stone front. That's when the house was built.
