600 avg HP
570 avg ft lbs

That was the tenth pull only and we stopped as motor was heat soaked, we kept it around 170 water temp and 150 oil I think it was, oil curve was flat!

Here they are, one is the EGT sheet, The afr was not lean, we looked at the plugs.

shaker455 03-22-2015 09:49 AM

Who's dyno was this?

Do you have the graph too?

I take it the AFR is not correct as you would have not made that kind of power.

Can you post your build so I can look your combo over?
Thanks

slowbird 03-22-2015 09:51 AM

Was more timing tried?

grandville455 03-22-2015 10:01 AM

No graph, dyno was at engine guys shop, local.
Brian we started at 30 after 3 pulls , we checked lash, then tried 32, fell off more n dropped a lot after peak, so then we went to 28, and it was better, carrying it out n dropping not as much, 26 was the last pull #10, motor was plenty heat soaked at that time, we kept it at 170 water n 150 or so oil. There's more power in it yet, If we would've cooled it down for a couple hours, I know it would've went 660 easy.

slowbird 03-22-2015 10:11 AM

Were jet changes made? With more timing it probably wanted jetting.
I would definitely jet up with it in the car to start with imo.

We were going to, but pulled a plug n it looked good, so that's when we dropped timing n still made pretty much same power, but carried it out better without dropping near as bad. The EGT'S Were pretty much the same with more timing, so that told me it probably wasn't lean, plus the plugs were good.

shaker455 03-22-2015 10:32 AM

The Tq looked a bit lower than what I would expect and I don't know the rest of the specs??... degreed & jetted?... I see degreed to 106

I did a 462 street engine with a much smaller cam & for the most part 90 less hp but about the same peak Tq

Overall I'd say success Mr. Darby!

You should have a fun season.

grandville455 03-22-2015 10:44 AM

Thanks!!
What did u want to know Jeff? The Specs are on first page. Cam was a custom mike Jones can for this combo, degreed in at 106.4. Jetting was 92 square. We didn't even touch the carb, not even a mix screw!

shaker455 03-22-2015 10:46 AM

Yeah I missed the ICL on your 1st post...

Pistons, etc whole build...if you don't mind?

Is that the same custom Dominator I built you back in 2011?

So you had 1 dyno day?? good that you got it on there in the 1st place.

grandville455 03-22-2015 10:51 AM
