After 11 months I finally received my Visa and Irene and I will live for at least 2 years in Milwaukee. We will move to our house in Menomonee Falls on Nov. 18th.
Although we need to decorate the house we might take the oppertunity to visit Chicago.
I'll tell Irene we will visit the IKEA too :)

Welcome to Wisconsin Gerrit! I am about 15 minutes North of The Falls. Best of luck with your move!

Not Pontiac related, but for those attending please look for the reveal of Phil Bonner's old Ford Thunderbolt 'Georgia Shaker'. It was recently found and has been painstakingly restored by my friend and Thunderbolt guru Donald Allen. The find and restoration has been featured in a series of articles in Old Car Weekly and a feature is due in the upcoming issue of Muscle Car Review.

I went by to see the car today and he is working on the final trim and interior and the car will be finished. It is already 'hand' lettered just as it was back in the 60's. It will blow you away! Not sure exactly went it will be revealed, but I'm sure it will be listed in the show program as it is one of the feature cars.

Ron Landis 11-07-2015 06:53 PM

I LOVE T-bolts!!! Not really a Ford guy but they got THAT one right!

This is a FANTASTIC show as I have been there several times. Formerly the Chevy/CorvetteFest, it changed a few years ago to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. I have seen some of the rarest musclecars on the planet there from some very private collections. I will be there with my completed 1967 GTO. Looking forward to meeting some more Forum members too!

Chevy Corvette Fest was a different show altogether.

Im going to miss this one unfortunately. In its fifth year, its the first one Ill miss.

starlightblack 11-19-2015 08:20 AM

There's usually a reception at the Doubletree Hilton at 6pm Friday evening and the bar there is rockin' pretty good after that. Gibson's steakhouse is attached to it if anybody wants to grab some cow. I'm up for making a reservation and having sup with a few Pontiac friends. My number is 709-690-6883 if anybody wants to text or call, I will be at that reception and sniffing around the bar before that. Follow your nose to the Woodford Reserve bourbon and that's me :)

Seriously though, call me. Just use starlightblack so I know what forum you're from...

My brother and I will be in the FAST display with my 67 GTO. Not a FAST car but the Pure Stock Drags were filled up. It is pretty fast though :)

Hopefully not as bad as predicted, might have to rethink the 100+ mile drive tomorrow.

Hotel Room

Anyone needing a hotel room at the MCACN, I have one available at the DoubleTree, right across the street. Snow is changing my mind. Call 618 384 9604. "Bill"!

fiedlerh 11-21-2015 10:42 AM

11" of snow on the ground in Lake County IL north of Chicago.
Zero snow downtown Chicago.
Just a little in Rosemont.
Looks like North and West of Chicago are the only problem areas.

Judge273 11-22-2015 08:02 AM

Not sure where you read a dusting in Rosemont? Bad at 10am and worse at around 2 pm on balmoral so much ice and snow cars couldn't make it up hill. 294 south was unplowed and blizzard condition with multiple spin outs. Hard to believe the tollway was in business of road maintence...

Bentwheelbob 11-22-2015 08:09 AM

Any pictures Mike?

fiedlerh 11-22-2015 11:19 PM

I got word from a relative near there, right before the heavy snow hit. In Chicago "a dusting" is anything less than 6". We got 16-18" up in Lake county. Official total was 11" at O'Hare. Was all set to go, but roads were nearly impassible by the afternoon. Hope everyone got home OK

6TEE8GTO 11-22-2015 11:39 PM

If any of you at the show happened to see "The Last Hemi Charger" on display by Apex Autosports, that's the same shop that restored my Judge...

Old Blue 66 11-23-2015 10:02 AM

Maybe its been posted elsewhere on this forum, but as I understand it from a super reliable source, the unfound 69 TA vert has been found and undergoing a restoration. This was the big word going around at the show this weekend.

Judge273 11-23-2015 12:59 PM

Were you there? The buzz was hardly about that??

It was announced at the awards ceremony that the TA is being restored by Scott Tieman and will be at the 2016 show.

Yeah the buzz was more about how tight Courtney Hansen's pants were! and... How Bill was going to get his car home!!

Judge273 11-23-2015 06:54 PM

Painted on...

Bentwheelbob 11-23-2015 07:28 PM

So could someone just post some damn pictures....?

We've argued about the weather, about what the "buzz" was about, and now about Courtney's pants. So far, not one damn picture....

Besides being there for 'work', I have to say that am really glad to have gotten some chat time with a bunch of people I don't see in person nearly enough, as well as some folks I know and saw but didn't get to chat with.

Hope everyone had a great time and travels home went smoothly.

Have a meaningful Thanksgiving, guys.

You had a much better location this year compared to last I think. I went over to say high twice but you were in full presentation mode each time so I didn't want to interrupt.

Good show for you business wise?

Aye. We handed out hundreds of fliers and sold several following the show...good stuff.
