What do you guys do with all of your aftermarket parts stickers?
 

I remember back in my youth it was the cool thing to put parts stickers in your rear window, like you were a real racer - Accel, Hooker, Comp, etc. It was like travel bumper stickers on a suitcase.

What do people do now? I have a pile growing in a drawer from my parts purchases. If I had a fridge in the garage, that might be a good place. Toolbox? Trailer?

I have a work and car show cooler that is about the same size as Fred Flintstone's lunch box. Bet there are twenty decals on it.Been covering my Tool boxes for the last 40 years.Garage frig.Just started putting them on the 25 year old garden tractor.Can't look any worse than it does now.

If you have a work shop where you hang your tools, I hung white peg board and covered it with the stickers then hung tools over top of them, you can still see them.

I stick them on the kids Power Wheel cars.

Had my last tool chest top part just covered... all the good ones.... they don't peel off after 20+ years :( Replaced it a week ago and threw it in the alley by dumpster. It lasted a half hour :) probably someone with a beater Focus and a cool tool box.

I put stickers I like onto refrigerator magnet material and go at it...the door between our attached garage and the house is getting the treatment now...An upside to the magnetic backing is that you can undo at-will.

Toolbox, along with all the stickers the aviation suppliers we used sent us.

They mostly get stuck on the ductwork of the furnace in my shop, but I really enjoy putting them in places where they make no sense. My garden tractor was Flowmaster decals on it and my dad's old John Deere tractor is donning Holley stickers on the side of the hood. Even my hot water heater is sporting VP Racing fuel decals. When I was racing vintage snowmobiles a few years ago, I had an IMPO titanium rod and Butler Performance decal on the hood of my sled. Lots of conversations were started in the pits over those decals since most snowmobile racers don't have a clue that neither company make snowmobile parts.

Mostly filed in #13... recycle can. I used to give them to the grandson so he could put them on his pedal car. But now that he's "too old" for that they're thrown in to be re"cycled". LOL

I slap them on peoples rear bumpers at redlights,but only if they have been driving too slow.

I have a 8ft tall big metal cabinet in the garage that I stick them on.

I give them to little kids with dad and/or mom at swap meets. The kids eyes light up as they say "for free ?". Can't put a price on that.

For a "day two" type street machine, the underside of the trunklid was a common spot for these decals.

Hmmm.... Toolbox is the obvious, but a good one. Maybe I should go buy a go-kart or tractor for a place to put my stickers!:D

I put then on my hot water tank in the garage.

I put some on my wheel borrow some on my cabinets in the garage, & most go with me to the swap meets to give them out the all the boys & girls who come by my booths & while their looking at all the die cast I bring along with the car parts. I have made more sales from the simple act of giving away those cheap stickers. Plus the kids love the sticker even if they haven't a clue what they are for or about. All they know is they got it for FREE & with all the bright colors they could care less what company they are for either. I try to give them all away at the swap meets but just about when I think I've gotten rid of all of them,,, POOF I've got 100 more. I try to keep them off my tool box now, because I tried to clean all of them off one time & it took about 1-2 hours to get about 1/2 of them off. They really stick after a couple of years. I have put more then a few on cars that park in the handicapped parking spaces when it's some young kid or some lazy ass that just wants to be close to the entrance. I'll put them right in the middle of the sight area of the windshield. When it's hot out they stick really good & if they try to take them off they leave that sticky glue behind which screws up the wipers as it attracts dirt & junk which is hard to get off. But they deserve it.

Back to original topic. Usually I chunk them. The last one I ever put on one of my Pontiacs was one of the yellow and black ////Nunzi Automotive//// stickers. centered it on hoop of the fan shroud of my modded Turbo T/A, many years ago. Nunzi gave me some good tech info, and i bought a few parts from his catalogue. Would like to have another of those stickers.

I used to put them on my toolboxes but now they just go into one of my 'junk' drawers.

Can't make up my mind whether stickers help - post up the photo without stickers so we can make an educated decision.
