Funny movies that nobody else seems to enjoy quite like you do...
 

Last week I saw Sacha Cohen's movie "The Brothers Grimsby". I about p!$$ed myself from laughing so hard. It has now moved up on my personal list of favorite funny movies to rival my all-time favorite, "That's My Boy" (Adam Sandler).

When I tell people about either movie, it usually gets the eye rolling or head shaking. It makes me wonder if I am truly warped for being a fan of either of these two guys.

But hey... Sacha Cohen is married to Isla Fisher, which in itself is worthy of a giant Borat-style "high five".:D And Sandler isn't doing too bad either.

Any other warped comedies out there that you guys are a fan of?

The classics, Caddy shack, all 3 Austin Powers, Joe Dirt, Christmas story, Vacation 1, Most Adam Sandler movies,etc

For me and a few select friends, it's 'Raising Arizona' with Nick Cage , Holly Hunter. Pretty much every line is hilarious to us and gets quoted regularly. Definitely on my top 5 list.

"It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World". Wife won't watch it, says it's dumb. What's not to like, and find funny?

bad santa..the mask...dead pool is so funny..i laffed so hard i pee'd a little...weird science...squid billies...anything half a bubble off is just about right for me...

Vintage Three Stooges shorts - but only the ones with Curly. My kids love 'em too - but nobody else seems to.

Airplane. I watched it in a very smoke filled room decades ago when it first hit HBO.
Never laughed so hard in my life. The food was great too.

I love all of the Vacations, even the new one. European and Christmas are my faves.

Recently saw Joe Dirt 2. Surprisingly funny, even tho the plot flow got a little weird.

Beavis and Butthead Do America. Now that's some cinematic excellence right there.

We had some friends over the weekend before last and watched it on Nexflix around a campfire on the patio. It's even funnier when you are half loaded.

Skin Deep, not the best movie but John Ritter is really funny in it.

It's probably weird to rank as one of the funniest movies but The Long Long Trailer just cracks me up, it is epic.

Time Bandits. It was a 1981 British movie about a young boy that joins a band of time-traveling dwarves. They have a map they stole from a powerful being, and they hop from place to place in time trying to steal treasure. It's like a wild dream you have after doing some pretty powerful drugs.

A new classic...

I can't figure out why but the first "Weekend at Bernie's" made my sides hurt from laughing. Also big fan of the "Police Squad" series.

Motel Hell, one of the first modern horror comedys. I think it should be a cult movie.

Back in 1987, me and my brothers rented Return of the Living Dead and spent hours rewinding all the funny scenes. That one still sticks out in my head.

I think Pulp Fiction is the funniest movie ever written. Most wouldnt see it as comedy I guess. But then again I tend to not enjoy traditional comedies.

Since it was mentioned movies you like that others dont.

Try "Everybody Wants Some". Spiritual sequel to "Dazed and Confused". I just watched it. Really dig it. If you like Dazed, give it a try. Seemed to fly under the radar at release.

I just remembered a couple other B movies that get honorable mention:

Nightmare at Noon with George Kennedy and Wings Hauser.

Cusack movies are great fun too. "Hot Tub Time Machine" is in my top 3.

SUPER TROOPERS....the bear scene...stupidest...funniest scene ever

Mel Brooks "Young Frankenstein" is one of my favorite comedies. No one else that I know seems to get it..

Hey, great list... I've got a couple of new offerings: The Great Race, and What's up, Tiger Lily. There's a scene in TGR where Peter Falk tries to get an icicle off of Jack Lemon's villain mustache and rips half of it off ... no dialogue, but a gut-buster as he tries to stick it back on. Tiger Lily was a "B-" Japanese spy flick that Woody Allen bought, erased the sound track and dubbed English dialogue and sound on it. Never laughed so hard... To be honest, I had been drinking when I watched it the first time, which certainly added to the experience.

Anything Monty Python for me, but the wife doesn't get the warped British humour.
My oldest wanted spam for dinner one night, so I had to find the Spam skit on youtube. Me and the two boys were in tears, the wife just shook her head.

I like most things that Will Ferrell has done, Talledega Nights being my fav.

The Great Race is a personal favorite in our family, too, as it the Princess Bride. We can have entire conversations using only quotes from those two movies.

Monty Python cracks me up but I'm the only one at my house.

Most anything Monty Python but Holy Grail was one I watched a ton in college and friends would quote frequently. Also Airplane had me dying since I was a teenager and it was off color back then for a teen boy.

Another vote for Airplane...those lines pop up everyday.

yes on both monty python and no one else in my immediate universe appreciating it as much as i do.
the movies are masterpieces, but each and every episode of flying circus is where dudes were at their absolute best.

totally non-related, and not even a film, but the phony phone calls on the stern show have had people looking at me from other cars certain i'm having a seizure and giving me looks like "are you ok?".

there's a particularly topical one of richard/sal's that they play frequently, where they call an auto repair shop, say they think they threw a rod, and ask if they can play their engine over the phone. they proceed to repeatedly play the sound of a toilet flushing to the very perplexed mechanic.
sounds stupid, and it IS, but it's just stupidly aneurism-inducing.

I'm the only one that appreciates the humor in these movies.

I was the only one laughing all the way through "Fargo". Steve Buscemi couldn't believe his bad luck at every turn! Ended up in the wood chipper. Lots of comedy but he stole the show in my book. Lots of movies mentioned here are gut-busters for me but this is about the only one that nobody else got...it seems.

A lot of good classics already mentioned for sure...but how 'bout O' Brother Where Art Thou? Not everybody gets it for sure...

is probably my all-time favorite...but you are correct. Most people don't make the connection to Homer's Odyssey which takes a lot away from what you get out of the movie. Coen Bros. won my heart with their flicks. Fargo...as I already mentioned and No Country for Old Men is another that I never miss an opportunity to watch. Not a comedy but full of twists and good one-liners.
