So, who, here is going to POCI in a couple of weeks?
 

I plan to be there with a fellow Pontiac enthusiast!!!

Driving that direction from Oklahoma weekend of 23-24. Hope to be there maybe Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday will have most cars on display. I'm not driving my Pontiac, so I won't be cruising Monday or Tuesday...:(

Just got back from a few days' camping trip to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Re-prepping the travel trailer for a full weeks stay at Wisconsin Dells. Staying at a campground about a mile or so from the event. A few more Pontiac faithful coming from my neck of the woods also.

I am driving out on Sunday. Google maps says 622 miles and 10 hours 12 minutes. I will do the extra miles around Chicago. I am not driving my car through downtown Chicago.

If you mean I294, sometimes that's worse than going 94/90 downtown.

Stay away from going threw the city during morning rush hour and anytime after 2:30 , sames goes for I294 :oogle:

I’ll be there Sunday thru Tuesday.

We're going up to visit family the Saturday before and will be there for a couple days during depending on the weather. Will be in the vendor area.

We're going Sunday and staying through Thursday. We're taking my wife's '64 GTO for points judging--no trailer, we're driving it.

Convention is going to be one of the largest POCI Nationals ever. Lots to see & do in Wisconsin Dells!!

I wish I could be there to see "The Black Car" and meet Bob, Dick Boneske, and many of you others.

Long drive from N.C. We'll miss all of you who can't make it!

Dad's '64 is in the midst of a 4-spd conversion and my '68 RAI 'Bird conv. is stoll in final body prep phase. Maybe next year.

Driving over on Wednesday. Might stay until Thursday.

They sell Old Style (brand) beer in Wisconsin, don't they? Need to know if I have to bring my own along, lol.

This is looking like a PY forum under attended show? Starts this weekend....

I hope not. However I have talked to a few folks in the part that know about PY and read a lot here, but have no interest in being a member or posting...

It seemed like all the Pontiac events that I attended before 9/11 were growing in attendence, after that day, priorities changed, for whatever reasons...

Would have loved to have managed to fit this years WI POCI show in with my schedule. Spend some time wth many have not seen in years, & with several on this Site who have always wanted to meet.

Life just gets in the way, am just way too backed up with ongoing projects. Have a trailer load of sheetmetal to haul north and equip to haul home, but due to work load not going to be able to make that long trip for another month. Finishing out the inside of the building has been #1 priority, working on it nearly every day. #2 has been getting all parts up in the racks that have been moved. Some racks are up, but not all. #3 is getting remaining Pontiacs and parts over here. A little time left for family and friends, that's been it.

BTW, where is POCI Nats next year?

Nope to far for me. :(

I might make it to Oaks on Saturday for the popular vote class, but not sure yet.

I was looking forward to the trip, but broke my hand mountain biking and had surgery last week. Trip is 2100 miles round trip. Just not going to risk towing a car up one handed.

What do you mean PY forums under attended show? If you mean attendance, this will be one of the biggest POCI conventions ever with at least 600 attendees.

That’s the same day as the Pypes show isn’t it? That means less GTO’s for me to compete against lolol. They all will be at Oaks.

I was at the event this afternoon (Monday) and found it a bit underwhelming. Not many cars and only a handful of vendors in the swap meet area. I did get the opportunity to meet some very nice people and was told I should have come Wednesday or Thursday when more cars are expected to show up.
