Early 71 GTO hood
 

Restoring a 71 Judge or high option GTO?

For sale is a very nice and extremely difficult to find, early 71 GTO hood (without the two finger reliefs).

This hood has no kinks, rot or bubbles around the front leading edge, or around the venting slats. The bottom surface is very nice and has been primed but there is some minor rust and pin holes in spots.

Skim coat applied years ago before being primed, painted and scuffed. I ran a magnet over the top and did not find it lost grip anywhere.

Both outside edges at the cowl have minor damage; most likely from storage.

$2,500.00 USD or may consider trade + cash either way. Listing here on PY before gong the eBay route.

I would prefer anyone interested to take a look to avoid any confusion regarding my description. Pick up from my residence in southern Ontario or could meet at Niagara Falls, Ontario side for pick-up with prior deposit / payment.

GTO parts that I would consider trading for:

7040273 carb 2399, 2529, 2959 date code (prior to late October 69 build) / or possibly an SR 0273.

70 – 72 pair of NOS Quarters

I'm in Texas. Built the car for my dad so the car is in MN. He's almost 81 so doubt he could do a road trip. No truck either. I think I may have someone that would pick it up. How far towards MN would you meet?

No quick way to Minnesota from southern Ontario.

I could get to the Windsor / Detroit border about 3.5 hours away but that is still a long way from you.

Thunder Bay would be better but that is about 15 hours from here.

Might be better to find one closer to you.
