Rush Limbaugh RIP

Heard a few minutes ago Rush has passed. Sad day indeed.

einstein 02-17-2021 01:20 PM

Just hearing it now.

Not the birthday gift I wanted.

JimFB400HO 02-17-2021 01:31 PM

When I tuned into Rush this morning I was hoping today he would be back to host his program. When I heard Kathryn, I knew the news would be bad. What a sad sad day.

tigergto 02-17-2021 01:59 PM

RIP, great one.

Dennis H. 02-17-2021 02:16 PM

Truly a big loss to all who knew and appreciated Rush, he will me missed!

pont3 02-17-2021 02:21 PM

RIP Rush, you were a great person. You even owned a '71 Lemans as your first car. As an avid fan I will deeply miss your shows.

He talked about his car in a recent broadcast. Not to split hairs, but I'm 99% sure he said it was a 68 350 LeMans, pretty sure it was also a 4 speed car too.

RIP Rush.

PunchT37 02-17-2021 02:58 PM

He had a `69.

GT182 02-17-2021 03:31 PM

RIP Rush Limbaugh. :usa2:

carcrazy 02-17-2021 03:31 PM

RIP fellow Missourian, you’re coming home.

Half-Inch Stud 02-17-2021 05:58 PM

Listened to Hanity, Levin, and Trump talk about Rush; very nice tributes.

Rush was always the best radio tune.

You know, nobody ever talks about how ya get cancer. I suspect cigars were a habit for Rush, and an accelerant for the illness.

Apparently, he used to be a cigarette smoker. He would often say "right here in my formerly nicotine stained fingers".

jerry455 02-17-2021 06:54 PM

RIP Rush, you will be greatly missed.

wqcode 02-17-2021 07:04 PM

i have been a fan since 1979. He will be missed.

gene simmons 02-17-2021 07:15 PM

I have been listening to Rush since 1992.
Great conservative talk radio show host. He will be greatly missed.

Rip Rush

Hammertime Mike 02-17-2021 07:38 PM

Your birthday today, too???

And I agree, not the birthday gift I wanted either.

Rush's death, getting my taxes done (and have 1 large check to write) and getting my second Covid vaccine shot is not my idea of a wonderful birthday.

I did get Black Forest Cherry Cake for dessert after dinner though...

BOB VIDAN 02-17-2021 09:30 PM

Great conservative thinker who knew how to put words together that everyone wanted to say but were to afraid say.

Well done, good and faithfull servant.

RIP, Rush.
My boss passed on Tuesday afternoon - also a great conservative. RIP, Mike.
Heaven must need more conservatives.

Along those lines, his father was a WWII fighter pilot. IIRC, I think Rush said that he (Dad) flew P-51 Mustangs.

Region Warrior 02-18-2021 12:07 PM

Yep. Listened to him every lunch hour in my truck longer then can remember.
His co-hosts are great too.

prostreet64 02-18-2021 05:18 PM

Just like Region Warrior, been listening to Rush during my lunch break for as long as I can remember. He was the real deal and a truly humble man in spite of his tremendous success.

694.1 02-18-2021 07:20 PM

Our local affiliate used to run Rush with Paul Harvey news at Noon. It didn't get much better than that.

paul 02-19-2021 11:12 AM

He was a class act right up to the end. Happy trails to you Rush.

Jonsie 02-19-2021 11:36 AM

Loved ya Rush, never went a day w/o you, we'll truly miss you, RIP my man

Another birthday boy 17th...

GT182 02-20-2021 11:42 AM

With Rush gone we'll be without honest radio commentary. There is no one I can't think of that could possibly take his place. I miss listening to him. He caught my attention way back in the 70s. He was my back up to Paul Harvey. Now without either one we're all scrod.

Formulabruce 02-20-2021 08:53 PM

Rush changed my life at a critical time for me. Love the humor injections as straight commentary can be boring. I listen to Dana Loesh a lot now as well. She has a segment called "Florida man" that is usually so funny, but true little news clips! I will miss Rush. For sure.

turbo69bird 02-21-2021 01:38 AM

Rush was amazing the man could tell you what would happen next week , next month, even a year down the road. It sure as sh&$ it would happen . I knew liberals that listened to the show for that reason. And many of them realized they weren't actually liberals after a week a month or a year of listening.
The guy never spoke down to anyone just spoke with them. The only person today I feel is even close is maybe Dan bongino. Straight up honest about what he believes on issues

Every hot rod shop, paint shop , machine shop around me had rush on during the day. As did most manufacturing shops.

Some big shoes to fill that’s for sure was like a friend to many a listener. A lot of people listened to him longer than most of their friends.

Hmmm. There`s a morning show around here that has a "florida man" segment as well. Got it`s own song and sponsor. They have been on the air for 30 years or so. The Walton and Johnson show. Good show. The Rush of morning comedy shows.

Now, I wonder who came up with that segment?

He was part of my weekdays for 28 years. I will miss his insight and since of humor very much. RIP Rush

I think Graham Ledger would be a good candidate . But your Right, nobody can be all that Rush was.

cdoggy81 02-24-2021 08:58 PM

He was quite the voice for radio & the 90’s conservative movement. My condolences to his family.
That being said he & the times have changed & I am glad we will never have to hear him again!
