He's one of my top three 'Will It Run' YouTubers. At least he does mostly cars that are worth being resurrected. Some of the others take on basket cases, just for the challenge, or because they have nothing better to do.
His vocabulary does take some getting used to.

I’ve had a hard time watching him. I tried once and gave up. Recently watched probably 5 episodes which got a little better but I still had trouble. I am a fan of Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Engine Masters, and some “spin offs” including Finnegan’s Garage and Faster with Finnegan (Hot Rod Garage is okay but not my favorite). As much as Derek seems like a relatively genuine (take me or leave me) type guy, and seems to love his country, he definitely tried to emulate the roadkill type show a little too hard for my liking. Maybe I need to continue watching to see how his episodes have progressed.

I like to watch Diesel Creek, guy buys cars, trucks, and construction equipment as cheaply as possible, brings it home, and gets them running. or establishes what problems they have, then repairs them. the guys name is Matt, he lives in PA.

He also is somewhat of a excavation contractor, sometime filming his on site work. Plus he's building a house and shop on his rural property that I guess he inherited.

Agree, the Vise Grip guy is kinda tough to watch.

It's really hard to get past the fact that they can't spell Vise Grip.

He’s great for entertainment but I don’t see me learning much from him. Now if it was hyper technical it wouldn’t be entertaining. That mid engine amc was a complete cluster. My three year loves “off road recovery” speaking of YouTubers I met fast Monty today at a Pontiac show. I was like I know you but I really don’t. Just seen a lot of his videos. Nice guy.

I have watched it in the past and enjoyed viewing. Been quite a while since I’ve watched any episodes. Just like most shows, it got to be the same ole, same ole after a while.

Just watched my first 2 episodes. He got that old Studebaker running! No computer, no scan tool, no fuel injection. How about that? Fun stuff.

Derek explained in one of his first videos that he couldn't use the correct term for the tool as it is copywrited and he could get into legal issues. Thus, his spelling.
I've watched it for some time, and appreciate Derek's sense of humor and his willingness to dive in and get dirty on old technology. He's only 36 years old or so, and IMO, has the world by the tale. Nice wife, kids that are engaged, and a healthy lifestyle. The guy gets all of my respect.

I fully agree, I love to watch his you tube videos and seem him progress both on content and being able to make a living via you tube.

Derek is fun to watch and a hell of a nice guy. Met him once over at the Freedom Factory here in Bradenton.

He is good to watch a show here and there good entertainment Vise Grip Garage. I like his torqueing method..........I think I will lugnut three unga dungas
I also like most of the Roadkill stuff but faster with Finnegan is at the very bottom of the list.

He's a hoot. I've seen a couple of his epic road trip videos. Very funny.

I watch Diesel Creek, Vice Grip Garage, Rabbit's Used Cars, VinWiki especially, and a few others, one is James Condon, the Generator Whisperer. YouTube does make some folks fairly wealthy. If I'd have videotaped all the dumb stuff I've ever been involved in, I'd be a YT millionaire for sure. In most cases, to be honest, I'm glad my life hasn't been recorded, I've made some very substantial embarrassing mistakes!

I watch and enjoy VGG, I find it very entertaining. For a couple of reasons, he goes back to basics, it’s nice to see someone who can work out a problem with plugging in an ODBII reader. It also shows how you don’t have to drop a small fortune on an old car to still have fun.

I have started several of the different ones.

The only one I every thought was sufficiently interesting (or accurate) to watch to the end, and actually look for additional episodes was "Chasing Classic Cars".

Have started a couple of different ones on "carburetor restoration" that would cause Dr. Goodpliers to cringe!

I like his show, my son got to meet him at World Wide Raceway and said he’s pretty cool guy.
In my book he’s living the American dream, looks like he has a nice family with a pretty wife making bank with some nice old cars. Plus it looks like he’s teaching his kids a work ethic.

Ha!!! Frie and Fin were in the same shop VGG Derek was, while he was repairing the sheared lug studs, Derek mentioned ( in the video you provided) that Mike and David were putting a clutch in their car.
