Greg Reid has Passed Away
I received a message this weekend from Greg's wife, Anna, that he has lost his long battle with cancer. She wanted me to share this with all of his PY buddies. We lost another good one. RIP Greg!
|
:(
Godspeed Greg, praying for comfort and peace for your loved ones. Bart |
Definitely was a GREAT ONE to our Pontiac family. RIP Condolences to his family.
"Bill"! |
That sucks. Good man. Will be missed by the PY family.
|
I was just thinking of him the other day and going to reach out to him. I regret that I didn't. RIP Greg. Your contributions here were always appreciated.
|
Very sad news. RIP.
|
Very sad news. He’ll certainly be missed around here. My condolences to his family.
|
My prayers go out to the survivors.
Even though I only knew him from this site, I'll miss his postings. We all have the Pontiac thing in common, and I'm glad I crossed paths with him. You'll be missed Greg. |
My condolences...
|
Greg was an outstanding individual. Hoping his family finds peace and comfort to get through this time in their lives.
|
The news took my breath away.
Rest in Peace Greg and my condolences to your family. |
Sad news. My sympathies.
|
I have been fearing this for the past week. I sent him a text last Thursday that he didn't answer. The last I talked to him was about a month ago. He was in what I consider remarkable spirits, considering the difficulties he was having. I don't know what else to say now.
|
Rest in peace and prayers for your family...
|
Sorry to hear. Condolences out to his family and friends. He had a lot of posts on this site…
|
I talked to Greg on another forum too ( I can’t remember now what it would have been?) , but always felt a comrade with him since, even though I never met him personally.
RIP Greg. See you when I get there. |
I really hate to hear this news. I use to meet up with him at local car shows. He never let on how bad his cancer was. He was one of nicest guys you’ll ever meet.RIP Greg.
|
Sad to hear this news. We never met in person but all the quality posts he put in the forum will be missed. Condolences to his family and many friends.
|
So sorry. Rest in Peace. Thoughts and prayers for his family. I was just talking to a priest at St Vincent Archabbey. He lost his 29 year old sister on her 29 th birthday. He said imagine the creator creating all of us and liking what he has made, he wants the best back with him. Helps me.
|
Very sad, :( RIP Greg :)
I really hate cancer. |
This is a loss for me.
I never met Greg, nor interacted beyond the forum, but he had a positive influence on me for many years. His posts, answers, and project examples were motivational and never negative. We had a lot in common and I loved looking at his car and work that he did. Sad to hear the news, hope his friends and family know he was valued by complete strangers. Will be sad to stumble across his posts but will also remind me his positive influence lives beyond him. Mike |
"Will be sad to stumble across his posts but will also remind me his positive influence lives beyond him." well said Shiny
I also have never met Greg in person, but he always provided good honest advice from his experiences. I remember he was an inspiration to me on my project when he was welding those patch panels into his 68 GTO. my deepest condolences to his family |
Praying for strength and comfort for all that knew him!!!
I was looking forward to him getting his 66 GTO on the road... |
So sorry to hear this. Greg was a stand up guy. I meet Greg about 15 years ago, I bought an admiralty blue 74 Firebird from him. I drove from New York to Georgia and pick it up. From him. We talked for a bit, just a great guy! RIP Greg.

Greg Reid acquitted himself as a humble person that most of us didn't know personally, only through his comments here. I have great respect for him and will miss his presence here. I ask God to bless him and his grieving family,
