Name Ideas for a Pontiac gasser??
 

I just bought a 1956 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina, and I want to turn it into a gasser. I always loved the cool names on old school gassers and want one for my car too!

I want some feedback about my ideas, and other peoples' ideas for a Pontiac related name!

My ideas so far:

Star Chief's Curse (my top name as of now, see the AI Generated photo below of it on the car with blue paint)

Tonto (a very close second for the name, I loved watching Lone Ranger with my grandpa)

For the history buffs, I would name the car : "Bloody Fast"...

Here's why. Pontiac who was from the Ottawa tribe, was quite the warrior himself, on July 31st 1763 the Brits planned an ambush on Pontiac's settlement, he got along with the french settlers and they told him that they had seen the British troops preparing nearby.

So Pontiac was in ready mode when the Brits attacked his settlement. No need to tell ya that Pontiac and his warriors turned the British troops into ground meat. It was said that the water of the small river running through the area had turned red momentarily.

In history books it's remembered as "The Battle of Bloody Run"

Its funny that my house was 3 years old already when that happened...

For some reason I always thought “Cheyenne Autumn “would be cool.

My 73 SD race car is Brave Excitement.

There's this T shirt that I designed and sold at Pontiac events for a few years 2005-12. One guy from Texas had vinyl graphics made of the front design made to put in the rear window of his 65 GTO racecar. He was courteous enough to ask me if it was alright to use the design, and I told him to go right ahead.

Those stickers are real cool, do you recall who the guy from Texas was?

The user name was Goathead, hasn't visited the forum since 2017.

Those as stickers/decals would look good on some tool boxes

The pictures I posted above are T shirts, front and back views, I also had some 3x5 stickers of the front of the T shirt (the first shot) made which I may still have some leftover in my old stock.

The member (Goathead) saw the T shirts/stickers advertised here on PY, and asked me if I could get some large stickers made that were as tall as the back window of his 65 GTO. I had 3x5 stickers, but was getting ready to quit the T shirt business. I had no interest of making more stock, as I was trying to liquidate all the shirts and stickers I had on hand.

He then asked if he could have a graphics company copy my design in the larger size, which I agreed to. To my knowledge he has the only oversized sticker of that design. He did post a picture of the graphic on PY installed in the rear window, but I have no idea what the thread was titled, so it might take a lot of searching to find it on PY.

I did a quick search of his threads, and found nothing with a picture of his car with the graphic..............:noidea:
