POCI 2026
 

I am considering going to the POCI meeting/show this summer - I think in Detroit. It’s the 100th anniversary of Pontiac and hoping it is something special.

I have a packed summer this year, one kid moving for an internship, one kid graduating high school and moving off to college, not missing Norwalk and gotta have a beach trip in there somewhere. Oh, and work to pay for all of it.

I need to make some choices on what to attend. I’m going to do one of these three: POCI, TA Nats or Pontiacs at Pigeon Forge. I have done the TA Nats several times and it is easy since my dad lives in Dayton. I have never done the Pigeon Forge show.

Does anyone have any info on the POCI convention? Events, how many cars, etc? I have been disappointed the last few I attended (to be honest it has been a while) and I am hoping they are in a better place as a club. I am still a member of POCI, just not active. I am not going to have time to hit all of the events this year so hoping that someone may have some input.

Mods, I am aware we have a National Event page but it doesn’t seem to get as much activity as the Lobby. If you feel it needs to be moved please do so.

I should be driving Model T's in Greenfield Village on Tuesday/Wednesday by then, and in the PTM on Fridays normally.

Pontiac is about 20 miles north of Detroit. There will be lots to do. Lots of automotive history around the metro Detroit area.

The Hotel is rite off Opdyke, if you go south and you merge rite into Woodward. We could get a big table up at Duggans one nigh on Woodward if anyone’s in.

Thank you for the information- I have a trade show that week so I am trying to see if I can get out of there on Thursday to come up.

Just reading Smoke Signals about the one party that was scheduled. The place changed management people,POCI had it scheduled,price agreed. New management people found another group willing to pay more,so POCI looking for another location! Bologna.

Where is the Oakland expo center.

Over by the Oakland County complex, north of the old abandoned Summit Place Mall.

Why did they put the swap way over off of Telegraph. Swaps are usually at the hotel, ( fiero show, gto NATS.)
So you got to go from the hotel, to the museum, to eliz lake and Telegraph for the show, where the tech line? Monroe?:oogle:

For those who will be doing the tour of Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village on Monday 6/22: I have made arrangements to be driving Model T's that day.

Please make sure to seek me out and introduce yourself if you are going for a ride during your visit.

So who from the forum is going to be there? I'm going to get there Tuesday. I'll be bringing my Blue Charcoal 65 Lemans.

I'll be driving Model T's during the Greenfiekd Village field trip and with be at the PTM open house Monday.

I'll be a docent at PTM Friday and Sunday all day.

I got a call from a bud, he’s there now registering. I’ll head up to the Yack a little later to see what’s going on. He said a bunch are already there. Woodward will be hopping this whole week.

Parade last night: there were about 200 cars.

I was number 175 and almost couldn't get in the parking lot.

i was #145 had alot of fun cruising the parade. Met a New Zeeland couple and a bunch of nice people. i was looking for your car Keith but yea it was packed.

Burd and I went up there around 11 am today. Lots of cool cars and nice people.

I was about 30 cars behind you.
