Passenger Side Battery Tray

2 Attachment(s)
I thought I'd share something that I learned this weekend. Maybe it's common knowledge idk. I'm installing an LS engine in my '64 GTO. I needed to move the battery to the passenger side or run a battery cable over. I decided to move the battery. To my surprise, the battery tray is designed to go on either side. The holes are already there.

Ah! I figured that they didn't do it for kicks. Lol! Thanks for the history lesson!

Chevy had planned the 68 up A body well. It had the alternator, starter, battery on the passenger side, they also had the engine and transmission about a 1/2" more to the passenger side. This really helped balance the car out.

Interesting. You dug up an old post lol. I have my battery on the passenger side now. I'm rewiring it with an American Autowire classic update harness. I still have to decide how I'm gonna deal with the horn relay terminal block wiring. Haven't got started on the wiring yet. Still tearing stuff apart to paint etc. Madness...
