Single terminal Pack-con II connector housing part number 08917583

I'm selling the single terminal Pack-con II female connector housing that is typically used in the late 70s for the high speed blower motor power feed. It sits near the A/C compressor and typically melts from overheating. A description of this connector is shown here:
https://www.connectorpeople.com/Conn...KARD/8/8917583
I can offer a minimum of two of these for $5 including mailing cost. I will accept a U.S. Post Office money order. Please PM me if you are interested. I'm located in Melbourne FL.

Take a look at your high speed fan power connector near the AC compressor as it might be melting. If it gets bad enough then a reliable connection will be lost and you will notice that the fan won't run on the high speed setting.

Do you connectors or is this just something you ran across and are helping guys out with in a similar situation ? How about the old blue single packard connectors?

I had the connector housing melt on my 79 and wanted to stay with the original type. The problem I found is that you have to buy a minimum quantity of these connectors from a distributor. So I have a bunch of them available that I will sell in small quantities. Aptiv (formerly Delphi Packard) says they will no longer be making the Pac-con II series. So once the inventory in distribution is gone we will have to wait for someone to reproduce them.

The harness manufacturers will not sell individual connectors. They will only sell the entire harness.

Get it while you can if you want to stay with the original connector type.

Do you sell these with the pin also or is it just the plastic housing?

This is just the plastic housing. However, I found that the contacts are more commonly available and not expensive. Note that the contacts are specific for Pac-con II series.

Can you give me a link to these or what I am looking for?

Warren Seale 03-12-2023 11:59 AM

These guys should be able to help you with the contacts. They are the manufacturer and they do respond to inquiries. You can ask them for the contact part number to fit AWG wire size you need for the 08917583 housing. You won't be able to buy directly from them but having the part number will allow you to search for a vendor.
