74 GTO Bumpers
Does any one know where I might be able to get a set? Mine are ok. Looking for a nice set or maybe a reasonable location to send them for a re chrome? any ideas?

Double edged sword here. Bumpers are in NYC area, so that inflates price, and they may have serious pitting / scale on backsides. Good condition to a southerner, and a northeasterner likely are two different things.
On the other hand, it is incredible that someone actually took the time to strip, photograph, and market the things. Might not see another matched pair, up for sale, for what - a decade?? 15 years? Longer? The rub strip holes are a downer, imho. Near impossible to find, or repair seventies type strips. You won't find them in southern new mexico, that's for sure. Maybe in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. When I was buying core '73 - '79 type bumpers, would avoid rub strip ones, figured there was less demand for them. |
