A body quarter window question
Are the A body quarter window the same? Thanks Steve

for the GM 68 - 72 years

Rear Quarter Glass:
'68-72 Pontiac A-body 2 door HARDTOP only interchanges among those 5 year Pontiacs. '68-72 Pontiac A-body 2 door COUPE (2 dr post car) interchanges with '68-69 Chevelle 300/Malibu 2 dr post. '68-72 Pontiac A-body Convertible interchanges with all '68-72 GM A-body Convert |
tracks yes, glass no. if you're talking Lemans/GTO hardtop yes, 68 to 72. cutlass, buicks and chevelles had different glass.
A body convertibles shared quarter glass 68-72 across the GM models, and are different than the hard tops. OPH beat me to the enter button while I was typing! |
I have a 70 GTO.

I would have never thought that there was that big of difference. Thanks for your post. Steve

Have sold a lot of nice unscratched late 60's, early 70's A-body factory tinted rear 1/4 glass & door glass out of partscars. '69-72 GrandPrix rear 1/4 glass has been a frequent pull here & I've ran into it at swappers & in parts cleanouts mistakenly tagged as "GTO" <wrong> The intro of the 1970 model A-bodys also brought the following new variations of rear 1/4 glass: - '70-72 Malibu-Chevelle/Skylark-GS hardtop - '70-72 Cutlass Supreme/MonteCarlo (have parted a bunch of these) |
I am in need of RH and LH rear power window regulators. I have motors, harnesses, glass, etc. I have dozens of motors, probably 4 full sets of manual regulators and harnesses, etc if anyone has need for such parts.
Any advice? |
Be careful if you are using used glass. Even though it MAY interchange you might have a window felt rub line in the glass.
Found that out the hard way…. |
