1971 Trans Am TVS / Vacuum Question and Help

I have a TVS / Vacuum Hose question and need some help please.

I have a '71 455HO T/A and one of the hoses from the TVS seems to have no place to be connected, which cannot be correct.

In the first pic you can see the TVS and its 3 hoses. The green hose is connected to the front of the carb. The red hose is connected to the vacuum tree in the rear. The white hose (3rd hose) is not connected to anything. Per the factory assembly guide it should be connected to the distributor but there is another hose connected to the distb.

In the second pic you can see:
The red hose from the TVS connected to the vacuum tree on the rear of the carb.
The yellow hose running from the A/C to the vacuum tree.
The light blue hose (which is connected to the distributor) running to the vacuum tree.
The dark blue house from the power brakes running to the vacuum tree.
And the white hose from the TVS with no connection.

Can you please let me know what is wrong here?

Thanks!!

Brad

The vacuum tee in the “yellow” hose is not correct, but does give you manifold vacuum constantly. You can run this way but make sure the “white” hose that is not connected is plugged. The correct routing would be to connect the white hose to the distributor, eliminate the tee and the “aqua LT blue” hose.

So the yellow hose would plug directly into the tree. The white directly to the distributor and eliminate the tee and aqua hose. Correct?

Are you wanting to keep the TVS setup functional?
If so the white from the thermo switch should go to the distributor.
The yellow and aqua should be eliminated. (and the T fitting)

And plug any open fitting hole.

:)

I think this an A/C car, so you want to keep the yellow hose. Lose it if a non-A/C car.

Yes. This is an A/C car.

Thank you both!

On the thermostatic vacuum switch there is small letters one at each port.

C goes to the Carb (timed vacuum source),
M goes to the Manifold vacuum source at rear fitting and
D goes to the Distributor ignition vacuum control.

A/C heater control hose goes straight to the rear fitting on carb.
