Vinyl Top Install

Can a new vinyl top be installed as normal with the front and back glass already installed? Just wondering if the vinyl can be tucked down into the window channel effectively with the glass in place.

vinyl top

yes that is how mine was done. actually me and my wife installed mine.
it was a blast. let it lay out in the sun to remove wrinkles and use good
adhesive.

That's my plan too, including the wife :)

Have a gallon of DAP weldwood Landau Top adhesive.

That’s how tops were installed…with the glass in. Man…that brings back memories of the 70’s …..we made trips to the interior shop on a weekly basis….back in the day. Never did one…left that for Charlie..

you will want a wooden pizza roller. Originally the" seam" was very flat to the car. I take a roller to it after its been glued for 5 min in 70 degree weather.
The seam can be a sponge for water if not glued well and pressed down well

I just bought a new top from Legendary ... hard to pass up the 20% off regardless of the wait time.

Am I going to be happy with it? It's the nice one I guess, with the claimed correct material.
