Help decode vin on my 1968 Tempest Custom
The vin is 235378P263238. I've find this below but the last 6 are don't align with what I've found since the last 6 digits should start with a 6 or a 1 for V8's. Mine has a 350 V8 in it.

Rollover to 200,000+. Pontiac plant production was in excess of 199,999 V8s.
Was your car built in the summer of 68? |
I got it when I was 15 from an estate sale, that was in 1993. I'm not sure if it was built in the summer or not but what you're saying makes sense.

Build date is on the Fisher Body plate located on the upper left side cowl. First line will begin with a two number, one letter code. Numbers are the month, letter is the week of the month.
ex: 05A = First week of May |

That’s the date the body shell was built.
You’d need the PHS docs for final assembly and invoice dates. If original engine, you can compare those components to these others. |
