1965 gto Tripower throttle control cable

I was wondering.... I had purchased throttle cable and mounting bracket for my 1965 GTO tripower and noticed now that my gas peddle only has about 2" travel to the floor. Is this correct? Can somebody post any pictures of how there pedal is looking. I have not gotten to the point to see if the carbs are all open at WOT.
Thanks!

Check the 66 in a 64 thread. There are parts book drawings of the different accelerator linkage setups. There were changes over the early years and throttle cable length changed. Maybe someone gave you the wrong year cable which could be the wrong length.

If the cable length is wrong the gas pedal position will be off.
