1968 Engine with other year parts added on.
 

Came across this while cammer hunting and couldn't just leave it for the scrappers.
It's a 9790*** 1968 Short Block with an unknown year head.
(Will be opening up soon)

9796278 '68 Cam Spocket, Leads me to think the top end is matched with block.

Still sporting an early OE GM 9782217 timing belt.

Has a 9782098 '66-'67 1BC Intake with a '67 design Carb (No Tag) and all the linkage.

Just an assortment of pieces but as fugly as it looks the owner religiously kept the cylinders oiled and it spins freely.

I'm mainly a '66 230 parts person as well as some '67 230 so this '68 250 is not something I have a need for. $250 whole or parting it down is an option as well.

Jeff it has a 69 only Cam Sprocket, and if it has the correct 68 only 2 groove water pump pulley that alone is worth what you paid for it to someone who needs it, Also I may know someone who needs the flex plate. I will let you know after I hear back from him.

This is the only PS Bracket used on the OHC 6, 1966-1969
Should all clean up nice after some time in a sandbox.
Had to cut off one long bolt, may try to extract another day.
Also has one broken ear but still mounts to block solidly.

This is not correct for this engine.
It is the VHTF one-year-only 1966 aluminum cover that many seek so it can be polished to a high shine.
Has the front upper and back with mounting bracket and hardware.

OIL TUBE WITH BREATHER PIPE
 

These were used '67-'68 not sure if '69 was the same setup.
This has the correct Tophat Sealed Breather Cap for the Closed PCV system, as well it has the factory Splash Screen used in the lower Fill Tube that always seems to be missing.

SHORT BLOCK
 

Complete with Rotating assembly and pan.
Spins freely and I could not find any machinist stamps to indicate aftermarket pistons and/or overbore. Also still shows factory code on deck.
