1970 Grand Prix 455 4 speed

Is the carburetor the same for a GTO and Grand Prix in 1970? I have a 455 4 speed California Grand Prix and I want to confirm that a 7040567 is the right original carb for the engine. Thanks in advance

Off-hand I'd say yes for a California car.

Yes, both models used the same carb 7040567 (XS), correct for CA cars w/EES.

I would love to hear & see more about your car... colors, options, where in CA it was sold new and see the build sheet or PHS invoice.

There's an NOS one on ebay right now.

It was sold new in Vallejo and spent its life there. Car is currently scattered over 3 bays in the garage. Previous owners did not do the car any favors. Still has the original block but a pair of mis matched heads and aftermarket intake and carb. Car is well optioned but interior is a mess. Give me a few months and I will get out some pics
