TOWER CLAMPS DATES HELP/ ?

Anyone know if these had a large amount of different dates?
Example: did they have a full month of manufacturing (each day) stamped on clamps used?

Can someone share a date for a Baltimore built 70 Judge like around DEC/69 JAN 70?

Did the clamp on the heat riser hose also have a date?

Thanks in advance.
Jeff

Your kidding me Jeff....The tower clamps are dated...crap! DW

Doug, you'll have to start over now..........lol.

Jeff, I didn't even know they were dated until you or GTO John told me. I'll sit back and see if someone knows. My car was pretty original when I got it, but the original clamps were long gone (and it is a 69).

Oh heck.....sorry about that! LOL...

I may have jumped the gun.

Another member told me they were, and I went with it and
I kind of recall my original 68 vert had date coded clamps, but its been 15 years.
I remember working hard to clean them up and might have been due to the dates on them.

A few supplier sell them dated I have seen, and will stamp if you give them the dates.

Anyone know for sure?

If they are, I am trying to find if that 2 1/16 on the heat riser tube (top) would be dated as well?

Have bins & bins of orig witek tower clamps, most pulled many many years ago (late 80's-early 90's) before they were repro'ed.. The originals I pulled off my 03E built '71 & had plated are 12/70's. A Jan of '71 built '71 GTO I used to own had several 3/70's. Not 100% sure, exactly, what date your Balt built '70 Judge would have had, but a bunch of the originals I've pulled have had wider date range than 3-4 months.

Yes, GM has had these clamps dated for years, heater hose as well as radiator hose date clamps can be found. You will also find the clamps on the Ram Air and Ram Air IV air cleaner heat tubes dated as well. Year One sells these and they are dated by quarter, 1-4, and then the year. Reasonably priced too. The Corvette people started all this date coded stuff years ago with the NCRS and it has now spilled on other lines like Pontiacs. It is a personal choice but I guess if you want your car really really correct, go with these clamps.

Haven't noticed clamps on the air cleaner heat tubes. Can someone post a picture?

Jeff, let me add a spin on this...

My air cleaner clamps did and did not have date coding. It was based on who was mfg. them.
Pictured are:
MURRAY CORP.
TOWSON 4, MD.___2 5/16

and

WITTEK MFG USA (USA is upside-down)
CHICAGO, USA___2 5/16___3/69___74 (74 is a clamp identifier)

Here's the information from the other thread. I posted multiple pictures of my Clamps, both Wittek and Murray Corp - just like Held for Ransom posted.

I have to make a correction. After reading what Kurt had posted, I took a magnifying glass to the Wittek clamp. What I thought was USA upside-down is actually CO with corrosion clouding my conclusions. Sorry and carry on.

OPH...

Do you by chance happen to have any original Wittek hose clamps dated some time in 1967 (for a '68 Firebird built Nov. 2nd week, 1967).

Thank you,
