FINALLY back in a Pontiac!!!

Although I should wait until the car is on my trailer... Took the plunge on a 1975 4 speed TA! Sterling silver with black interior.. Original engine and trans has been rebuilt... Bunch of NOS, reproduction, and restored parts. Hope to get her together and on the road this summer- faded paint and all!
Looking forward to meeting some of you around the New England area!

The longest I've ever been without at least one Pontiac since 1970 is the 3 years I was stationed over in Germany and that was January 1974 - April of 1977.

Welcome back to the greatness of owning a Pontiac!

I too left Pontiacs for a long time but finally found my way back!

Sounds like a cool car.

BTW, pictures are mandatory for a thread such as this.

Congratulations, my first Pontiac was a silver 1975 T/A, bought in 1979. It was a 455 4 speed, red deluxe interior, pwindows,, electric rear window defog, Am/Fm radio and tilt wheel.

That's a haul! Towing it or driving it? :)

Trucker here. Most of us will understand you going a bit slow, and oftentimes we'll make room for folks towing to merge and stuff like that.

Roll along until you find a truck doing the same speed and tag along behind them. Please do try and keep 2 semi truck lengths of empty space between you and them. I hate getting tailgated.

Most big company semi's are restric

Heck, you can't even maintain two car lengths of empty space between yourself and the vehicle ahead of you around here. Three cars will jump in there immediately!
Congratulations on the new Poncho ged2227. I was 19 years between Pontiacs, 1985-2004...but have had at least one ever since.

Thank you!!! Not the first rodeo for trailering... I hate it... LOL.

1. 1969 Stage 1 - home to Ohio... Blinded by a downpour and the highway (due to construction) suddenly forked left... That one was close.

2. Another 1969 Buick GS 400 4 speed- Maryland back home- no issues.

3. 1970 Skylark convertible- easy one- CT to home in Mass.

4. 1970 GS 350- Florida to Mass.... My brother fell asleep at the wheel and almost hit the guardrail. I drove 23 hours straight.

5. 1970 GS 350- home to South Carolina- solo, "easy" drive.

6. 1970 GS 350- SC back home.... That sucked. 1 mile from my house a kid hit the corner of the empty trailer, ripped his PS fender, inner fender, and front bumper cover off. Police involved. On the way home, several of my tow straps broke...

I think there's several more I am forgetting about.... I promised I would NEVER trailer a car again... Well, here I go... Going to trailer another one home.

I learned a while ago to draft behind semi's, make a downhill "run" to pick up momentum to climb the next hill, allow at least 2 trailer lengths before sliding in front of someone, allowing TT units to pass me on their "runs", and going easy.....
