Hi,

I can't fight it, I think that there's some part, some sort of cover missing. Can anyone guide me to the right part? Or is really right to see the metal here?

That is correct, but what can't see is the windlace that slips onto/over the pinchweld.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you very much for your feedback!
Do you mean it's one of the parts I've marked here that's missing? Would that than close up to the pillar?

Part #5 in your drawing is just the wind-lace, part #34 is a piece of metal with a screw to hold it on.

Do you need a picture? Wait, I found one.

Do you have a picture of that location on yours? It would help me very much to find what I am looking for if I know how it looks like :)

Thank you!

You can see the screw in part 34, and the wind-lace just snaps onto the metal A pillar edge.

Thrawn 01-12-2013 02:50 PM

Thanks for that.
It seems that mine is lacking at least the #34, but also the windlace itself. The previous owner of my car decided that it was much more fun to just glue the windows in... :( That could cause the strange look compared to yours.
Is there anything that goes between the dash and the A pillar?

Old Goat 67 01-12-2013 02:52 PM

Nope.

Can't remember what part 34 is called, but I have seen them available, just can't remember where....
