My 1970 formula wheel

I finally took my formula wheel off and am taken a close look at it. As far as I know it's original to car,we have owned it since 76. I dought it has ever been changed it had a vinyl wrap and hope it can be fixed and made round again. But I don't have an ic stamp. Is it possible they didn't engrave it? Is there a physical difference between the ic and 73 blank or did they run a blank.through 73? There is possible factory errors and that original wore out early in life . I simply don't know. I do own an ic wheel and a good driver original blank.so im.puzzled my this wheel.

Here is a pic of center area. Another think.is there a difference in the value between the this steeringnwheel the ic wheel and a 73 blank or are they all about the same considering simular condition.?

That sounds like a '73 wheel. No IC stamps for '73 or later fat formys. I don't know how you'd get the grooves out though. I suppose applying some gentle heat might help, but I'd hate to see it crack. I guess for a while I'd just let it sit and see what happens. As far as value, I'm guessing, but I'd think the IC stamped wheels have more value since they were on lower production cars.

Is there a physical diff between a blank and an ic? Is it possible that my wheel never got the hand engraving. That's what im wondering. I seen the ic engraved wheel and it's done by hand. Probably not hard to relocate too.

I wouldn't swear to it, but I once had an IC wheel I was restoring and it seemed like the wheel itself was made more of something like an endura type rubber where as the later ones were more like a foam. That said, I'd wait to hear what some of the others who've had more experience with them have to say.

I just learned mine is a big 1970 ic wheel without the stamp the location hole is not correct for a 73blank view pics below. I had strong feeling it was and is original to car. The first is mine second is a 73. A wheel expert told me mine is a 1970 inverted ic font mold with no stamp/engraving
