Looking for opinions
 

Replacing all fluids in my 1970 GP SJ....What brand and/or weights would you recommend for
OIL
Power steering fluid
Brake fluid
Transmission fluid
Differential fluids

Not looking for debates on whose ideas are better, just a quick consensus of what you would use....Thanks in advance

I was looking at B&M original Transmission Fluid, after that I haven't made any decisions

-Engine oil.
Mobil I 5W30 oil K&N 3002 oil filter.

-Transmission fluid and Power Steering fluid.
Get a case and two half gallons of NAPA Premium Performance Dexron VI. Use only this in your transmission and power steering pump.

-Brake Fluid.
NAPA Brake Fluid Mac's DOT 3
Only buy as much as needed, this stuff has a very short shelf life. Brake Fluid
should be changed every two years.

-Differential. Posi.
1 gallon of NAPA GL-1 90 80W90..
2 Quarts of GM Posi traction additive. Use both quarts. This additive should
be the ONLY additive you need to use.

Standard differential only needs the 80W90 lube...

ATF will work but is not recommended for power steering in GM cars. If your existing power steering fluid is pink, then somebody put ATF in it and the damage is done. GM cars use Power Steering fluid that is clear and readily available, Ford is the only one that uses ATF in the power steering. ATF doesn't play well with older P/S hoses and o-rings.

OIL- 10W30 synthetic your brand of choice with a bottle of ZDDP WIX or Delco PF24 Filter
TRANS- AMSOIL Dexron
Power Steering- correct GM compatible power steering fluid
Brake fluid-DOT 4 OR DOT 3 your choice of brand
Diff- AMSOIL severe gear 80W90 with a bottle of GM branded limited slip additive if a L/S
