Machine shop in Colorado
I'm in the Colorado Springs area - Looking for a good shop that knows Pontiac engines - Anyone know of one?
|
There are several good ones in the Denver area.
Verle Stevens Int. 303-549-5122 Ridge Reamer Inc. 303-420-3543 Madcap Racing Engines 303-298-0044 We have used all of these at one time or another |
Thanks! Appreciate it. Was hoping for something down in the Springs area, but I'll take it! :)

you might want to see if Laniers (sp?) is still in buisness, down town by the city hall area.

Did you find a machine shop worthy of our poncho's in Colorado? If so I'm also looking for one.

Norman has a nice Pontiac Stocker. And his brother Carroll, has a national record holding SS Pontiac. So, I'd value their opinions.
But, since Norman's post is over 2 years old, you may wanna check with him again. Things can change in that period of time. |
I used a local Pueblo shop. He did a good job. Although he forgot that the Pontiac cylinder 2 is the furthest forward, so he had to redo the pistons on the rods, they were backwards like a SBC.

The last place I used in the springs is no longer.

Gary Pace was the best and was the only guy in town with Pontiac torque plates but sadly he has passed. Burt's Auto is the only place I go to with my Pontiacs. I was actually able to get a baffled oilpan and a cleaned valley cover (they remove the spotwelds and clean it and reattach the bottom baffle) from them.
