Just a "D"
Why does my '67 LeMans' data plate have nothing but a "D" on it for the options? The car has a lot of options: cruise control, AC, tilt steering, safe-t-track, AM-FM, power windows, plus a few others. Was it some kind of pattern car that they just ran through with a bunch of options? It's a Baltimore car, built middle of April 1967.

The five group thing wasn't used at all plants. It's also a Fisher Body
thing, an AM/FM is a straightforward install, while a power antenna needs a specific stamped(?) hole in the quarter panel. Basically, any modifications that fall outside of the model's usual fare. |
Baltimore Assembly did not show the group option codes.
If your '67 LeMans was a Kansas City plant, or a Pontiac plant build, all tinted glass, pwr windows, AC, & AT would be noted early in the group option string. Remote mirror would also be noted. |
