99 firebird convert to v-8
 

I know there are tons of site with how to but I'm looking at a 99 firebird with a v-6 and getting a good deal on it. Can I reuse the rear end and trans with a ls1 swap. Are the v-6 and v-8 very different other than the drive train? had a 99 TA 10 years ago and thought this would be a cost affective project. Already has the look TA bumpers and spoilers already switched out. Thanks.

Given the number of 4th gens out there, it would probably be more cost efficient to search out just what you want and buy that car.
If you are really looking for a project, I'm sure it could be done and I'm sure it has been done.

More work than just changing engines. Better off just finding a V8 bird.
