Whats this rusted 74 super duty worth?

I found this xar in Canada for my buddy a couple years back. In addition to this car , he has a 71 and 72 TA that I also found him so he wants to sell the super duty to either put the money into his other cars or possibly purchase a other 70-73 trans am project. The car is all there with original block, heads, intake, carb, distributor, etc. Transmission is also original and will have a clear NJ title. The problem with the car is the rust. The frame rails and spring pockets are rusted badly to the point the springs are breaking the fear floors. The outer rockers have holes. The car does run and move but not a great idea with the rear floors. He wants to list the car on here and Facebook market place but wasn't sure what a good price would be to ask. I will post some pics shortly.

Cool find! I’ve always liked the white SD cars. What’s the story on the 71 and 72? Are they for sale as well?

I wouldn’t know where to start on value. It’s going to take a lot of metal work but all the hard to find parts are there.

The cloth seats are a pretty uncommon option..

I think it’s worth $10-20,000 in parts,
I think it is a $60-80,000 car restored and a labor of love to get it there as the restoration will cost more than $60,000. Very hard to find the rear quarter panels for a 74. Likely have to make some from a set of 70-73s and a set of 75+. Be very interesting to see if any of the shell is left after having the paint stripped off it.

If I was buying it I’d be willing to pay about $7500 (50cents on the dollar for the parts), Then sell what I didn’t want/need, keep what I do want and scrap the rest.

There is 20g in parts. It is a numbers matching running car making it more desireable than a rolling shell and all the major pieces are there. I would price it at 25g and see where it goes from there.

If it were mine....and I wanted to unload it......Ebay would be MY choice for best exposure..

List it as a Buy it Now....for $25K......with best offer.......and seriously consider anything north of $15K.........

He is keeping them. Both cars are Lucy blue cars. The 72 is freshly painted and being assembled and almost complete. The 71 is a decent driver that was previously painted He is looking for a correct HO block and components and will probably put it back to blue at some point. He is only selling the 74's because he likes the 70-73 body style better and will use the money from the 74 for the two others he has or maybe buy a 70-73 project.

Yes after some input I think he wants to list it for 27k obo on some sites and see if there is any interest at all, then if not it will go to ebay and see what the market will bear.

Thanks for the input. I passed it on to him.

Numbers matching is great if there's something left for them to match.

Whats the story on the backward shaker? Looks like the hood is cut to match?

Don't know but yes it is cut to match and has the lip. No signs of it being welded in. I assume they took a firebird hood and a good body man cut the hole and formed the lip. It looks factory in person other than being backwards lol.
