7028273 / 7029273 Questions

Couple of - I hope - quick questions on these carbs

1. Did any of the later dated 8273 carbs from 1968 show up on any of the early 69 RAIV motors (late 68 / early 69 production) ?

2. What are the correct casting numbers that appear on the rears of both the 8273 and 9273 carbs ?

Many thanks in advance!!

Noel

2. 7034973 on 8270/8273 and 7037576 on 9270/9273.

I’ve owned many RAIV Pontiacs . Specifically 2- 69 RAIV Pontiacs one was a Firebird one was a GTO Judge both were original paint, all original drivetrain , and both had 7028273XX Carburetors from the factory and I had the broadcast sheet on both cars showing XX in the carb box .

Interesting, what were the build dates of the cars ?

That was really odd.
9270 and 9273 was specificly calibrated for the RAIV, 8270 and 9273 was not.

Would love to see the broadcast sheets on these cars!

A true oddity for sure.
Maybe some of the plants were trying to blow out 8273 XX carbs.
Even stranger that the Bsheets were calling for them.
