Wanted: 1998 to 2002 WS6 Trans Am or Formula
Looking for a car for my son and I to work on. Lower mileage, unmodified, auto trans car preferred. Anything but bright red or white! I like the 1998 to 2002 because of the LS-1 engine instead of the earlier LT1 with the fault-prone Optispark distributor.
He likes the WS6 because of the factory ram air hood (what can say? he has good taste in cars for a 13 year old). Since I got my first Z11 Camaro when I was 14, I figured I should start him out at a similar age. Mechanical issues are not a problem but prefer an original paint, non rusty car. Thanks, Steve |
Been checking out various cars on line...and when I contact the "seller", the majority of them give me the tale of how they are currently in some alleged foreign country and have to sell the car before the taxes and fees are due and how they are just so happy to ship the car to my door...yada, yada, yada. Boy do I hate scammers.
Anyway, I am still looking and now I wouldn't mind having a 6-speed car so if anyone has anything interesting out there, PM me. The perfect candidate would be a stock, black, 1998 to 2002 WS6, 6-speed with lower mileage...(and located across the street from my house here in New Jersey, like the yellow IROC Z/28 I found a couple years ago that was 1.5 miles from my driveway) :-) Steve |
97 LT-4 Firehawk on e-bay, I think there is a 92 on there as well - both 6-spds and future collectables.

That LT4 seller wants an insane amount. I'd have to sell the SD to buy that car!
I'd prefer an LS1 powered Bird. They are easier to play with and a little more modern. |
PM me or call/text me at 229-894-0165 with your budget and what you consider low mileage (IMO 100K or so on a 98-02 is low today). I can find you a nice car...in fact I have a couple you maybe interested in.

97ramsst I sent you a PM.

Higher miles but might be worth the look - not too far either.

Great color but very high mileage. What worried me was that there was another 6 prior listings on that car with different photos that appeared to show the "chipping" by the quarter - looked like a prior very hard hit and a bad repair.

Didn't see those - yuck!

I wish I lived closer to you. I'd already be over looking at your collection. The problem with cross country purchaces is that the travel and shipping costs make a reasonably priced car, out of my price range. |
